I think we can win both. Just a hypothetical if you had to lose one and win one of the two, which one would you choose?

No. If we dropped 1 to candy late there is 0 chsnce for cfp. You’ve lost your mind if you think we’re getting in with losses to ark and Vandy, regardless of who we beat.

Yes. Only Because we likely see the goal post come down. When that happens we know we are a huge win again. For better part of 20 years we are not a big win for anyone even Vandy.

As I see it, losing to either one knocks us out of the playoffs. I think it would be far worse to beat GA and then lose in the final game against Vandy. That would be intolerable. Vandy fans don't care about football unless and until they beat us. Then they all talk about how great it is.

The only satisfactory resolution is to beat both.

Absolutely; if you're going to lose one, drop it to Vandy in Nashville. A 10-2 resume with wins over Alabama and Georgia surpasses the hypothetical 10-2 resumes of Alabama (wins over Georgia and LSU) as well as Ole Miss (wins over Georgia and South Carolina).

And it knocks Georgia out of the playoff.

Absolutely not for me. Vandy fans would never let this year die with wins over Alabama and Tennessee.

Vandy is going to be tough this year. Our guys just don't look good on the road this year.

NEVER!! George Cafego heard about your post and rolled over in his grave.
Exactly. I don't ever vote in these "polls", but my opinion alwasy kicks in where the Tennessee Volunteers & vandie commode-doors are concerned. Never, EVER lose to those West End Wimps....right, George?

Would you take a vandy loss for a Georgia win? And if that scenario played out, would we be in the cfp?
Today, I would swap a Vandy Loss for a Georgia win. Having lived in the Atlanta area for 40 years, I hope Georgia loses every game they play for all their sports.

Yes but I want Tennessee to win both.

It isn't even about CFB Playoffs, I think beating Georgia (especially in Athens) would get Tennessee over another hump that we haven't surpassed yet.
It would be the first time since 2004 that Tennessee beat Alabama, Florida and Georgia in the same season. The only other time that has happened since we started playing Georgia every year(1992) was the 1998 National Championship season.

we aren't getting in at 10-2 regardless of who we lose too
While it is not a guarantee that we would, in that scenario we would have the head to head over Alabama(10-2) and Georgia(9-3) and a better resume than Ole Miss(10-2) and possibly one or both of A&M and Texas, depending upon how they finish.

True, but losing the last game of the season opens yourself up to getting passed by other teams and having no time left to regain your poll position. They will use the ideology "yeah you beat Bama but that was weeks ago.. the head to head means nothing." Leave nothing to chance. But yes, imo, a win over GA is going to be more valuable than a win over Vandy if the teams goes 1-1 versus the two.
