Would You Trade Knowing What You Know Now - Bama for Georgia

I would take the game played first every single time and then take my chances with the second. Don’t understand these hypotheticals at all, win the game in front of you.

Are you kidding? Take the heart from those bastages. Up to the Bama game UT had not been mentioned in the NCG, beat Bama, then BOOM here they are. Beat UGA and they're in, well. This is a dream season enjoy what we have witnessed. NCC playoffs be damned, UT wasn't supposed to be there anyway, but it would be nice to put some sausage gravy on the biscuit of this season.

Since 2009 the West has pretty dominated the SECCG winning 12 out of the last 13. Saban's Bama has been in 8 of those 13 games with a record of 8-0. The W ticket to Atlanta means you must beat Bama. Every SEC W team, who beat Bama has won the SECCG with exception of the Barn who lost to Georgia in 2017, a Georgia team that was later beaten by Bama. Since 2008 Georgia is 1-7 against Bama. So, beating Bama is something REALLY special.

Good things happen to teams when they beat Bama, this year will not be an exception.

My only lack of confidence in this game is it’s at Georgia. I still think Vols win it.
And we went to Baton Rouge and beat LSU like we were playing in Neyland. I don't think playing in Sanford Stadium is going to intimidate the Big Orange. I think that's what a lot of the Georgia fans and sports writers feel like could happen. Tennessee is laser focused this year. WE got this.

I would not refund the Bama win for any reason. That win brought light back into the eyes on millions of fans and breathed life into the program. That was step one, can't have step 2 until you have climbed step one.

I definitely don’t think intimidation will happen. Possibly communication issues until they settle in. This team is incredibly focused for sure. I’m not sure I’ve seen a team that prepares mentally like this one.

Please stop with what if'it's & Enjoy the success our team is having. Act like we know that we are a Top 10 all time wins type of school not a Johnny come lately.

If you lose to Alabama, but beat Georgia, you pretty much have to win the SEC championship game to get to the playoffs. Since we beat Alabama, if we lose to Georgia, and we both went out, we would still be a one lost team and have playoff chances a lot of, even though we didn’t make it to the championship game. So, beating Bama and losing to Georgia is an easier path than losing to Bama, beating Georgia, and then having to beat Bama in the SECCG (and then having to beat Georgia again if they back their way into the playoffs).

Absolutely would NOT trade a win over Bama for another W EVER.

Actually think our guys can win Saturday, as long as they play poised like they have all year.

Breaking the streak was worth it, they still haven't recovered from that. Also a lot of ESPN people thing that even if we lose to GA and Bama wins the SECCG, we're getting in either way. It'll be GA who may be on the outside looking in. Even on their models our chances to make the playoff doesn't drop that much with a loss to GA.

I think right now, whether we win or lose we're in.
We will beat UGA so it doesn’t matter but if we did lose to UGA we would need help to get in the playoff. Either TCU or Clemson would have to lose and we would also need UGA to beat Bama. Doesn’t matter though. We’re winning.

The win over Bama was cathartic for the fan base and I would not trade it for anything. So many posters on here are way to focused on scenarios that get us into the CFP, forget about that for now and just enjoy the first really good season in 15 years.

Beating Florida was the appetizer
Beating Bama was our main course
Beating Georgia will be dessert with icing on top

If I were told this team could only beat Bama or Georgia……..I’d say YOUR A LIAR!!!

And simply let Tennessee do what they do.

UGA is still new money. Just because they beat Bama last year doesn’t mean they’ve necessarily started some big run of their own. For us, beating Bama was both the historic rivalry win and a kick to the king. I wouldn’t trade a win over Bama for anything short of a national championship trophy.

I believe Penn State, at least the one I saw Saturday could beat UGA. OSU for sure if they are firing on all cylinders. UGA is going to need some luck if they win it all this year.

Absolutely, positively not. In 100 years, no.

Alabama was huge. You cannot overestimate how huge that was

Recruits in attendance. Atmosphere off the charts. Shootout of a game. TV ratings through the roof.

You could spend billions and not have a better infomercial for UT.

Yes GA won last year. They are the current kings. Ask any random person who the big dog is in college football and what are you gonna get? Alabama.

Whatever happens the rest of the season happens. You are going to be seeing images from Oct 15 until the day you die. Straight truth.

This year? Bama, no question. Same for the next 5 years at least. 11-1 with a NY day bowl is still an amazing year given the recent history. Once this things gets on a roll then I’ll trade a Bama loss for an SECCG birth to play them again and beat them.

Nah, give me the win at Neyland. We’ll bust Georgia’s A$$ at home next year if we don’t do it Saturday.
