I think the issue was this...you compared TBA having 17k out of 21k(capacity) in attendance being as depressing as south Carolina having 7k out of 18k(capacity) in attendance.

TBA averages around 85% capacity
SCjr was 38% capacity

That was the issue people had I think.

Understandable. I guess it is hard for me to see mainly because when I was at UT the SEC games were packed but having a better team helped. Oh and I have tons of UK friends so they alwaysssss comment on how empty and quit it is. We are down to 21K in capacity now after the renovations? I thought we were in 22s? You are always an easy person to deal with, unlike some idiots on this site...(such as people that bring good discussion to the thread by posting bulldozer pictures)

Yea it's under 22k now, I believe it's 21,678 iirc(pathetic I know that #).

Going into it even deeper, by people's accounts who were there, they said 3k was accurate attendance last night. That's 12% capacity, that's embarrassing. Meanwhile even UT worst crowds have atleast been an actual 14k or so, that's 65% capacity.

Plain and simple USCjr attendance is an embarrassment not only to them but to the SEC. The fact their arena is so big but they can't even fill it 25% is embarrassing IMO. Tennessee even in its worst has been well over 50%.

IMO I still think TBA should have been 14-17k capacity, jmo.

Official attendance was listed at 7,959. Less than half of that showed up based on guesstimates. I don't think you can really blame the USCjr fans. They've had very little to cheer about other than Downey's circus show in the Horn era. Horn is 0-11 against UT. The only other SEC team that USCjr hasn't beaten in his tenure is Miss St.

I've never been to the Colonial Life Arena, but I've heard it is nice. There is no reason a state school should ever be that bad. With only so many major Div I jobs available, it amazes me that some schools can be so inept at hiring the right guy (UT included for a number of years during the Dickey hoops reign of error).

this wasnt SCjr first problem with attendance this year. in fact, their highest attendance game 16k was uk, and thats because it was over half uk fans,im being serious btw, not an exaggeration!

they are averaging right at 7k a game, but obviously just like last night that number is fudged.

read this article, it's funny, it talks about Horn fudging the #'s...

IIRC Arkansas holds close to 20k doesn't it? I could be way off, but I thought UK held the most, UT 2nd, and AR 3rd as far as capacity seating for BB.

it sits 19,200 and last year they averaged about 12k.

however, that was their lowest average in 11 years, and was one of the factors that led to pelphrey being canned. prior to the 09-10 season they always were top 15 in attendace while in bud walton arena, pelphrey just drained the juice in that building.

im not sure what their numbers are this year, but im gonna guess they are back up there.
