'18 WR Jaylon Robinson (Ole Miss Commit)

Makes no sense. He has 1 year to play and would join a familiar system here. We have better WR talent than OM that would draw more attention, which he said was important to him.

What is this kid thinking

Based on your first post, I guess the fact that he’s not a Vol should tell you all you need to know about how the staff sees that position.
Cool. Are you doing this with everyone who posted about the WR position? Or just people you have a personal issue with? Asking for people from Newport.

I had a feeling he might end up at Ole Miss, cause I thought he might have more production or opportunities at Ole Miss, I feel like we have more depth or kinda stacked at WR, I feel like Tillman Bru and Hyatt, will have a lot of targets.

Man this offense isn't some underground bush's baked beans secret!I keep hearing give the guys we have time to develop etc? These dudes been playing wr or most have for multiple years now.All im saying is Tillman is legit the only guy we can count on period! If the depth chart was Bru,Hyatt,Calloway you all would be losing ur minds. At the same this isn't a hard route concept so if Hyatt and gang are serious will see it come next year.Gotta give guys the benefit of the doubt, but im not sure I wanna play Bama and Georgia in a pass happy offense throwing to Mr.Benefit of the doubt and hoping for the best.Give me the seasoned guys with 75 catches and 1000 yards please...

Yeah this makes no sense. Lane's offense is about the QB. Lots of screens and HB throws. Honestly reminds me of West Coast offense spreading ball around. Was never in love with that offense.

Sadly he isn’t. Kid is gonna regret going to OM.
The WR room at ole miss is trash right now. I think Mingo is the only guy left that’s even decent. Robinson is going to get a lot more attention from defenses and that would not have happened at UT. It’s a weird decision.

but we will be alright.

Oh I know we’ll be fine. 😉 Kid just is making a hasty decision but to each his own. Wish him nothing but the best.

He is running a variation of our offense from when Briles was his offensive coordinator.

He will probably get a lot more balls thrown his direction as well.

Will also be the focus of more defenses in the pass game. Not the case here with Cedric and Bru/Hyatt on the field which would have given him a better advantage.
They have mungo, Watkins the transfer from Louisville that caught 35 passes….. a good qb and great RB….. he will be the true number one there….it’s not a bad choice by him although I wish it was us.

Guys didn't get benched due to one mistake last year. Hyatt has openly admitted what his issues were last season, and it has been well documented that Callaway didn't have the work habits in practice necessary to earn trust and playing time after the big drop at Florida. He just went with the flow and showed no sense of urgency. That demeanor doesn't fit the coaches theme of Attack! Attack! Attack!

This sentiment about Callaway was echoed by Swain. The idea that he was benched just because of one bad drop is an poorly informed opinion. It needs to stop. Multiple times on different episodes Swain mentioned Callaway's lack of work ethic and 'want to'. Hopefully he has had a fire lit under him to go and achieve. Hyatt clearly has.

Day one starter at Ole Miss. Would be lucky to be second in line here. Makes sense, minus the fact that there's always a risk at not knowing who your QB is gonna be.

Granted, Kiffin has a way of putting someone out there at QB who is at least competent.

drop the anchor on this one. wgas we're headed to better waters where we're fishing. This was a one year guy wanting a ticket to NFL. Come to UT you have to work, at least at WR.

CB&LB have help wanted signs.
