How fast is he? I mean like his 40. Obviously doesn’t “matter” but I was curious
First he averaged 17+ yards per catch in 2020 and 2021. Not quite Javonta's 22.9 average, but similar impact. How so?

It looks like Heupel used him the same way he used Javonta.
As far as why I say he's Javonta Payton DELUXE. He's close to as fast, shorter yes, but looks physically stronger, better route runner, and a more dynamic athlete. Easy to tell that from his game film. I watched that highlight and his game against Boise State last year.
He was also incredibly productive in Heupel's offense. 979 yards 6 touchdowns in 10 games in 2020 is pretty darned good. Far more productive than Payton was coming in here last year.
He will duplicate what Javonta Payton did and then some.
There's a reason schools like Ole Miss and UGA are after him.
He’s already proven that he’s better in the slot than Hyatt has been. And no one knows if Bru is going to be what we think he can be or not. Taking a WR that Heupel knows well and who has produced very good numbers in college already makes total sense. If we have a competition in the slot between Hyatt, Robinson, Holiday, Calloway and Squirrel, we’re going to get the very best guy for that jobWhere is he getting 1000 yards? Does he assassinate Tillman, McCoy and Hyatt? He'd be lucky to be the 4th WR here.
Not saying we don't want just saying he's a depth guy.
I don't think Hyatt's name is written in Sharpie as a starter. I think this guy would battle with Hyatt for the 3rd spot, provide depth, and give us some interesting options in a 4 WR set.Where is he getting 1000 yards? Gotta plan ahead these days now with the transfer portalI'm not arguing this young man's talent, but I think it fair to ask if we really need another WR? With the addition of Bru, I think that puts us around 11 scholarship WRs.
But whatever the coaches decide, I'll ride with it. And if this kid's a Vol, I hope he puts up huge numbers.

We really desperately need help at corner and lb.I'm not arguing this young man's talent, but I think it fair to ask if we really need another WR? With the addition of Bru, I think that puts us around 11 scholarship WRs.

When JPayton was injured we ran at a deficit the rest of the season seemingly with VJones and CTillman carrying the load.I'm not arguing this young man's talent, but I think it fair to ask if we really need another WR? With the addition of Bru, I think that puts us around 11 scholarship WRs.
