back up plan? What has McCoy done and how has he played?
Serious question, Bc I’m not familiar. Ive seen Jaylon ball.
Why would this guy be back up to Bru McCoy?

Just because McCoy was a 5 star??

This is dude is a proven playmaker under Heupel already...

You both make good points but my original comment was more about the appearance that Bru is already a take and my belief that we wont take two WRs.

Plus I do believe Bru has a higher ceiling and we need help on the outside. Robinson, imo, is more of an inside guy.

I see your point but we have much bigger need than WR imo. I mean would you rather have another WR or for the staff to find a good DB in the portal?
Yea, I’d rather have multiple DBs, DL and LBs. I’m kind of less concerned with LB though. Sounds like they’ve made big improvements there and also sounds like they’re happy with the OT position between Mincey and Crawford. So multiple DBs ans DL would be great

DB is the most worrisome group we have imo.

If Turnage and Haddon are the real deal, take that next step, worry goes to thrilled.
Yes, that would be great and if the new JUCO and transfer (Walker?) provide depth or in rotation we will suddenly be in fantastic shape. Not to mention Charles, Rucker and Slaughter. Maybe we’re not in such bad shape after all. Just need them developed

Seems like the CB's we have are always dealing with an injury. I believe we definitely would do ourselves a favor in getting as many pure CB's as we can, Portal or transfers to help This season. Go out and recruit heavy at that position for this next class of 23'.

How many slots do they have left excluding Bru? Isn’t it 5? If so they could still take this guy, Bru, and an OL, DB, and LB

I think we need more than 1 DB. Given the option for a 2nd WR, I'd prefer to add a second DB. Maybe even a 3rd DB over an OT. AP made it sound like they are happy with what they have at LT.

I think 1 corner will be enough. I think Williams will be pretty damn good. They just need a guy opposite him then have Hadden and Rucker as the backup corners. Then Turnage at Nickel with Walker backing him up with Slaughter, Charles, McDonald, and Flowers at safety. This fanbase is under the notion that this offense just spits out great WRs like it’s nothing and I don’t think that’s the case. Jones and Payton were great talents, and I honestly don’t see how we can turn a playmaker like this away when we don’t have a proven one on the roster besides Tillman. McCoy has yet to prove anything in college neither has Hyatt on a consistent basis and in my honest opinion he has a brighter future on the defensive side of the ball

McCoy and Hyatt are better options than we have anywhere in the secondary. I would be trying to replace all 5 projected starters if possible.

You can also hide lack of WR talent. You can't hide 5 bad dbs.

I agree with the last part, and I know Williams is a JUCO guy, but his highlights are phenomenal. You can just tell he’s going to be a stud. I also think there’s a lot of talent at safety and nickel with Slaughter, Charles, McDonald, Turnage, Walker, Flowers, and Rucker between those 7 guys we should be able to field at least 4 solid guys in the 2 deep McCullough and Burrell I have no hope for. What concerns me most is the corner opposite Williams and backup corners ideally we can get a starting caliber corner in the portal and Hadden and Rucker as 2nd string with Turnage at Nickel and Walker as the 2nd string. Then Slaughter, Charles, McDonald, and Flowers as the 2 deep Safeties. An improved pass rush will also help those woes at the back end. Our defense doesn’t have to be lights out. Just good enough to not get torched by teams other than Bama

Sounds like AP got some new info on Robinson…

Omarr Norman Lott from ASU is going to visit this week for a midweek visit.

And I continue to hear they are gonna look at visiting Sam Houston State RB Ramon Jefferson and UCF WR Jaylon Robinson. Might see them here this weekend.

WR room would be absolutely stacked.

"Prior to the visit to TCU, Robinson visited Ole Miss a week ago. Up next, sources have told HFB that a visit to Tennessee will likely be next. Robinson played for current Tennessee head coach Josh Huepel when he was head coach at UCF."
