WR U is back?

I agree with you that they do have to get on the team before calling it WR U again. I also agree that they have to produce..but Chris Hannon? He was rated the 19th best WR and wasn't even in the top 100 players overall..we are talking about two 5 Star WR's who are ranked the #2 and #3 recievers in the country and both are in the Top 25 players in the country overall...little bit of a difference.

Missing the point. Don't get hung up
on the one name. The point is we have had highly rated recruit after highly rated recruit who had all the stats ( sub 4.5 and 6ft plus) come here and do nothing. Wide receiver u is one that produces productive receivers, not one that recruits a couple highly rated eighteen year olds. Yes, getting kids like these is a necessary step, but it is not the final one at all.

Completely agree MHF. There is a chance it could take Hunter and Milton time to get used to SEC competition and spend some serious time in the weight room..but that is also doubtful especially for Milton I think since he is an EE and participated in Bowl Practices. He should be ready next year..

But there is NO way if we get both Rogers and Ambles that they both don't pan out. They are too talented and ready to play..

Be glad that they can't go straight to the NFL, otherwise they might be drafted above berry and cost him some money. I've been watching highschool all star games for a while also and there are a bunch of guys who looked incredible there that just weren't in college. You may be correct and if we get them, I hope you are but history gives us way too many cant miss eighteen year olds.

Vol,
We have to see it on the field before we can believe.

And whoever referenced basketball you are right that it is different. But saying that WR group would not produce is like saying UK would not get anything their freshman this year. Bottom line is that if you look at the highest rated WRs we have had in the last 10 years, this is 3 who would be in the top 6 in one class. That is silly.

I never said that they were good enough to go straight to the NFL...no one would be. All I said is that if we get Rogers and Ambles we would have the best WR class at UT in recent memory..better than Meachem, Swain, and Smith without a doubt..Like MHF said..they would be 3 out of the top 6 WR's we have had in the last 10 years..all in one class. That would be ridiculous. I know they aren't all in the fold yet and haven't put on the uniform, but on paper they have insane potential to become the sickest WR group we have had.

would be priceless, IF, CDD somehow lands Hunter, Rogers, and Ambles on signing day. Gotta be feeling good for CDD to have Ambles and Rogers on their way to Knoxville today. Hope Miller, Smith and gang have their persuasion going on...

Maybe because life goes on, and looks like it's going pretty good, esp if we land these guys. Moping around and feeling sorry for our program gets us nowhere. Go Big Orange!

They woundn't have a weird look on their face. X would claim we cheated by calling them while on a visit to USC.

Heather Harrington is the new LPE? Who knew? She is tall enough to be different from most of our hostesses. Would think she would be a booster though?

This is looking more and more possible. Do not worry about OL, we will get some talent in this years class and our new coach will have them ready...

When I listed tall guys I also did not list Nash because he was tall but I think he went to the CFL after college.

.

Nash was a first round draft pick to the Broncos and has two rings. He never panned out in the NFL but was still a great Vol.
