Look - Worley WILL be better this year than last year. Will he be great? probably not. But now that he will have multiple options to throw and to hand off to it will be a lot harder for opposing D to get a consistent read. He also has had better coaching and is a tad older and has the experience. He will be better - good enough to get us to a bowl game.

That is a great question, this will be the first year in forever that we will have a nice combo of experienced and young talent capable of changing games!
Dobbs showed more than flashes of greatness and Worley show leadership of our offense.....all in the first year of new schemes, play calling and timing, we WILL be much improved

Why is it that so many people think our defense will improve with basically the same players, but not our QBs?

Huh? Did you even watch the game? The defense was outstanding and put Connor Shaw out of the game.

Palardy was flawless in almost all aspects most importantly with field position. Either you are just being a poop or you don't know anything about football............

Give em a break. Even when Johnny football and Famous Jameis won the Heisman they had more time in their systems than any of our QB's did last year.

I know, right?!

I put absolutely Zero stock in Spring game stats buy Dobbs certainly "looked" more like an SEC QB since he's bulked up and added a little zip on his passes. I'm sure Worley has improved as well.

A good coaching staff will find a way to get the ball into the receivers' hands. Go back to 2006 and look at how many screens and short routes Ainge threw. It's no mystery why he was rarely sacked. He got rid of it so quickly.

Andy Kelly was a marginal QB, but when u gave him Carl freakin Pickens to throw to he looked pretty incredible.

Good question. I'll give it a shot.

I think it's because most of our hope, right now, rests on this monster 14 class. Since there wasn't a qb in there I guess some think it'll be status quo.

And Alvin Harper, Anthony Morgan, Vince Moore, & Von Reeves.....

However, he had probably the best O-line in UT's history blocking for him.

Tony Thompson was an All-SEC tailback that season behind that line. That would be like Devrin Young making All-SEC.

You're right. It's worse than I thought because so many incoming players with no experience will be playing defense and yet many still think will be improved on defense. Yet we have two quarterbacks playing in their first year of a new system last year but no one thinks they will be improved in the second year of Butch's system?

So, he didn't win it in as much as he didn't lose it. And for him that was a step in the right direction. However it would be nice if he takes the next step and starts winning games rather than not losing them. :good!:

Before we totally FREAK out, I would like to see both Worley and Dobbs in game action, they both just might surprise all of us last year was year 1 for both plus Dobbs was a true Freshman and Worley was showing sighs of improvement before getting hurt.:yikes:
