Can you blame people for being negative? All we have seen is fail the past 5 years. It will take some winning to get people back to being positive again.

Vol Nation has had a rough few years. After everything is said and done,, we were given some positives the last 3 years. Our record doesn't show them.. but we were so close in several games.... I feel good about CBJ and his staff. Most of them have been together for several years. I think this is a HUGE Plus on the development of our future. Our players are HUNGRY,, and they will be well fed with CBJ and his staff. I think we will see some positive results early next season which will lead to a winning record.

Negativity on this board should be expected. After all, if you've been nothing but negative for the past several years, you've also been right pretty much all the time. I hope Butch Jones does a great job and wins here, but given recent history, if you aren't at least somewhat skeptical, you're probably not a very logical person.

With me I thought Gruden was long shot all along but my heart said it could happen. Then I found myself thinking if it's not Gruden, surely it'll be a big time major player. Nope, same ole UT.

All this negative crap kills the chances of signing 4 & 5* recruits...It does not change anything else!

So you believe the best recruits research the message boards of the schools they may be interested in and if the posters are negative they take those schools off the list?

Dang - if I knew I had that kind of power I would have used it years ago before the Clawface and not have to seen that mess and loss to Wyoming. I might have been the one fan that changed the whole trajectory of sorry ass football at UT and helped it miss Kiffin, Hamilton, Dools, Hart, Nuke, BB, JJ, Duh-rick and company.

FWIW the top guys don't come to UT because the team has been losing a lot. That means the players and the coaches are not very good as a team. It's really that simple. Negative responses are just that - responses to negative actions taken by others.

But Dave Hart has it all figured out. Just ask him.

If I remember my English grammar correctly a double negative makes a positive. I intend to be negative about all the negativity therefore making it a positive.:)

Am I positive about the future? Yes. Will I watch all the reports in spring of how awesome we are with a little more skepticism? You bet. Overall we are better off and time will tell. GBO!

if a recruit gets on here and bases his college choice on what us idiots are posting we probably dont need em anyway

i.e. not the brightest bulb in the bunch
