You’re right.Thought he said he was using that for the kids that were signing on the 19th.
Great stuff there...thanks for the shoutout! I am in need of help making a change to an image that I plan on using on ESD....if I post it and tell you what I am looking for think we can find someone to make it happen?
-Brian DohnFolks, wanted to pass along some info on Darnell Wright after his weekend visit. He made the trek with his family so they could get a deeper look at the program in a relaxed atmosphere and spend time with the coaches.
I was told the plan is still to sign in February, but was also reminded things can change. The feeling, though, in talking to a pair of sources, was if he planned to sign Wednesday, he would made an official visit to campus.
All that said, I love where the Vols sit in this one.
So why would DW for instance want to save it and pay for his trip this weekend instead of take it now and pay later? What's the advantage? It's a paid trip and an opportunity to wine/dine and roll out the orange carpet for him and family. Hotel stays, custom edits, uniform pics, good personal time with coaches, tour/campus guides
For him? Nothing. For UT? Everything! So why would DW for instance want to save it and pay for his trip this weekend instead of take it now and pay later? What's the advantage?

just typically speaking from what I have seen, so take with a big grain of salt. Usually this late in the recruiting season once someone OVs somewhere they typically don't UOV to the same spot again before NSD. However the flip is true too, if they UOV, and haven't yet used the OV, they do tend to take that OV later before NSD.Could you explain why saving an OV is important?

basically having the OV in the bag, pretty much ensures he will come back, and doing it right before he signs hopefully makes sure we can override whatever bad influences pop up between the UOV and OV.
players and schools can do as many UOV as they want, but only get 1 OV per school. and typically OVs get treated at a different level.
personally I wouldn't have minded if the UGA OV had happened now, with our OV the last weekend. just so there's was out of the way and fading, since its 99% sure he will be signing in Feb. but taking their spot is also not a bad thing, so I won't complain.
Tennessee still appears to be in good shape with five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright of Huntington (W.Va.) High School coming off his unofficial visit with the Vols over the weekend. His latest trip to Knoxville was another sign that Tennessee remains in the driver’s seat to land him. But the fact that it was unofficial visit rather than an official visit suggests what sources have continued to indicate — that he’s not expected to sign this week during the early signing period.
There’s always a chance the low-key Wright could surprise people and unexpectedly sign this week. But there has been no indication to this point that he’s planning to do so. He’s worth watching this week simply because he has remained quiet for most of the recruiting process and because the Vols clearly have put themselves in position to have a real shot at landing him regardless of when he signs, but it would be a surprise if he signs during the Early Signing Period. Even if he waits until February to sign, though, Tennessee is expected to get one of his final official visits — if not his final visit — and likely will be tough to beat.
