For some reason I found this part to be absolutely hilarious:

- We noted a while back that WWE had big plans for Lana as the top Diva in the company. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that top WWE officials are ready to give the big Diva push to Eva Marie instead.

I wish WWE did stuff like Lucha Underground does as far as staged vignette or even outright scenes outside of the ring to tell a story. I don't mean say staged promos like Bray Wyatt does or in ring things like The Authority does every week, but actual outside confines of an arena storytelling. Lucha Underground realizes that at least half of good wrestling is a good story, and they take it over the top telenovella style and I feel that makes it more endearing really. I'd rather someone try too hard than not enough.

It's a crazy comparison but the South Park episode called "W.T.F." has the boys start a background wrestling league and it sardonically goes after wrestling by having the kids treat it more like a Shakespearean tragedy, with crazy plot twists and even Acts/intermissions, they even focus more on writing and character interactions backstage than anything else, and it all culminates with them trying to impress Vince McMahon to get hired.

I feel, in this day and age, you can find good or great athletes almost anywhere. Whether a person succeeds or fails is far more dependent on their character or writing than their in ring ability currently. Think of Cesaro for example. Or to lesser extent guys like Adam Rose or Fandango who were killers in indy circuits and NXT, certainly good enough talent wise to be mid carders or poor main eventers (Hello, Miz) and then just got strapped with terrible gimmicks and essentially set up to fail in the long run.

I'm actually surprised in this PR and 24/7 media format era that WWE hasn't done something for us smarks and said "Here is one of our top prospects that we just hired. Send in submissions for his gimmick, we'll post the 50 or 100 most common/similar online and everyone signed up for the WWEN can vote on what his/her gimmick will be and we'll have him do it." At least that way, if it fails miserably, they can blame the fans (or even have the authority or someone make fun of us for not understand "what's best for business, just like Daniel Bryan and his health", etc.) and if he goes over we all feel super involved and powerful, and either way we view Vince/the people in charge as less power hungry and more willing to listen to fans.

Al Snow said it best on JR's podcast this week. Just because you read a lot of medical literature and watch medical shows, you shouldn't try to be a doctor. The smarks need to calm down with the booking ideas and just enjoy the show.

While Snow is right to an extent, he's got a weak straw man argument, comparing medicine to entertainment. Even tho I'm against checking your brain in at the door, he'd be more apt to compare it to how people overanalyze popcorn movies.

Because we were all so wrong about Daniel Bryan, Punk, and the way they are ruining other people currently. I don't think all of WWE is bad, if it was I wouldn't watch it. But they still do a ton wrong, and they can only get away with it because they have monopolized the industry by beating out two companies run by idiots.

Vince, currently at least, has no idea about telling a story or developing a character. However, he is still, and probably always will be, an amazing businessman and showman for his product. WWE succeeded in the past in spite of his creative ideas and blind arrogance for the most part. The day he dies will honestly usher in a better era than WWE has seen in a long time most likely.

I wish I could believe that one of these two guys (hint: the 3rd rhymes with Boreton) will have a legit chance to win the WWE title off Rollins, but I know better.

I know right I wish Cesaro ore Owen would win the WWE title and that could be the WWE Title match at SummerSlam wild Rollins could face Cena for the US title

My guess is Sheamus comes out and interferes in the Orton/Rollins match.
