You really believe that WM attendees act differently than Super Bowl attendees as far as length of stay? I'd bet that the average Super Bowl attendee has about double or triple the income of a WM attendee.

And you can't put a price tag on all the positive, free network advertising for the city and the prestige of being a Super Bowl city.

This last year was the first time that the NFL made the Super Bowl stuff take up the whole week with the media event the Monday before. I've never been to a Super Bowl or Wrestlemania but it just seems WWE gives a lot more for their fans to do the week of the event. There's the Hall of Fame, NXT (now), Wrestlemania Axcess, Wrestlemania itself, and RAW the next night.

It seriously doubt do the Super Bowl or Olympics when you consider ALL the numbers, but I can def. see why cities fight for a WM.

There's almost zero spending required by the city, it results in tons of hotel nights (we're booking ours for next April soon), and besides all of the WWE sponsored events, there are all kinds of shows and meet/greets put on by independent feds leading up to Sunday that book up smaller event halls, convention centers, etc. Probably not an easier big event to book.

There are Super Bowl parties, media events with special guests, week-long fan oriented conventions and whatnot, concerts every night for a week as well as many other events that coincide with each and every Super Bowl

Yep... If he really hates it, it wouldn't exist.

Exactly. He likes it. He likes the main brand more. It makes him more money. Of course NXT is just a traveling circuit. All it is the AAA division of the indies circuit. It's just the next step of VKM monopolizing the profession.

But they could be using this as an angle to recreate the RAW/Nitro War. The Bullet Club invades RAW, etc, etc.

I got the same impression when I read the article.

Ever since that RAW vs. WWE ticket order showed up for a show in May, I've had this thought that Shane's return could be the beginning of a story that's an attempt to redo the Invasion and Nexus angles. Shane takes over RAW, promotes and backs a bunch of NXT stars. Then there's a "war" between Vince loyalists (LoN, HHH) and the NXT guys. It'll probably suck as much as the Invasion did

I dont think Vince hating NXT is an angle. And it exists because it's successful and he's not going to take HHHs pet project away. Jmo though.

I was hoping for a few more matches and maybe they will surprise us! Really glad they are showcasing a little NXT with Enzo & Big Cass.

This would have been a good place to showcase a Asuka & Bayley match as well for those that don't watch NXT!

This is the announced card for tonight's WWE Roadblock!

Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt

The New Day vs. Sheamus and King Barrett from The League of Nations (WWE Tag Team Championships)

The Revival vs. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (NXT Tag Team Championships)

So my buddy and I were talking. There has to be some payoff for Bray Wyatt stroking the belt to HHH on Monday night. So, in our perfect scenario this is what happens.

Bray and Lesnar have a bloody, painful match. In the end, whether through his family or just by himself (which I would love) he beats Brock Lesnar. This alone is earth shaking, but the main event ends when Dean Ambrose beats HHH and becomes the World Champion.

On RAW, HHH comes out and starts to talk about how he will have a rematch for his title at Mania, and as he's a few minutes into his blatant abuse of powers, out comes Dean and Roman, who are already happy they're main eventing mania. They get to arguing with HHH, and out come Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. Heyman, as Heyman does, points out that the match between Brock and Dean is not getting changed, and that Brock, still deserving a world title shot himself, is going to stop wrestling in protest if he does not get this match.

HHH reluctantly agrees, but as he does, the lights cut out and suddenly the ring is surrounded by the members of the Wyatt family, with Bray standing on the ramp between Brock and the rest of the people in the ring. Bray makes it very clear that, seeing as he beat Brock Lesnar, he deserves a title shot more than he does, and if he doesn't get it, he won't stop wrestling, he will simply take out every single wrestler on the roster until HHH agrees, and he proves it by showing the Leage of Nations, or the Dudley'z, or whoever, beaten to a pulp in the back stage.

HHH faced with this naturally has to agree as well, as losing his top name in Brock, and the rest of his roster because of the Wyatt's, is not best for business. So, he withdraws himself from the rematch and makes the main event at Mania a Fatal Four Way between Brock, Roman, Dean, and Bray... but HHH being the power hungry bastard he is decides that for a match between such monumental stars a normal ref just won't cut it. So he makes himself the special guest referee.
