Unless he just doesn't want to, there's no reason Goldberg can't work a similar schedule to what Lesnar has been doing. He's still got appeal, still got the look. They would have to be careful about overselling.

Listening to the masked man periscope and one of them basically says this was a "**** you" to the other wrestlers. This makes Seth Rollins and Randy Orton look like chumps.

Just, no.... Lesnar was like 37 when he beat the decrepit version of Taker. There was no rub. It was purely an attraction type match to sell a PPV. It's what Lesnar does.

Lesnar beating the streak and then going on his streak was building him into a monster for a yiung wrestler to get that rub. That was the point of giving the streak. Establish Lesnar's credibility and let a young gun get that rub to make him a star. You're telling me you'd rather have 50 year old Bill ****ING Goldberg who hasn't wrestled in 12 years squash Lesnar in two minutes at Survivor Series than Nakamura or Balor or Samoa Joe or Rollins or Ambrose get that win at Wrestlemania?

first of all, Ambrose sucks. :)

Second, it's better than watching Lesnar do 3 moves and 10 German suplexes. Occasionally, it's nice for creative to go against what the "smart" fans think should happen.

I'm trying to think of a worse "payoff" to a story...The invasion? McMahon being the higher authority? Goldberg's original undefeated streak with the tazer? The Nexus?

It doesn't make sense but seems to be either

1. Punishment for the Randy Orton ordeal

And/or Goldberg and Lesnar are going best of 3 and Lesnar is the biggest pro of all pros in that locker room.

2. Lesnar is done and Goldberg wants Taker at Mania for some weird full circle / retirement match thing.

I'm fully convinced this is punishment/Lesnar is leaving. Nothing else makes sense for the long game.

The first I've watched since Sunmerslam and really enjoyed the show. Even the main event. I was stunned and I like that.

I liked it. Yeah, it was completely unrealistic. But it's wrestling. It's not supposed to be real. Nosyalgis runs happen. Everybody is so hung up on booking the future.

... And I didn't have to suffer through Lesnar's 3 moves.
