WWE Thread III

Only got to see the women's match because I had to be at work at 2:30 this morning. I didn't expect any of those results. I'm sad I missed Lesnar get squashed. it was a long time coming and y'all need to remember that wrestling isn't real (in b4 "it's still real to me, dam***) and that they could easily build Lesnar back up, it's how wrestling works.

The explanation is easy. Whether it's the video game, the Goldberg pop, network subscriptions, media buzz, etc.... They see money.

Yup. I don't understand how anyone could find enjoyment in Lesnar just stomping anyone that got in his path. This way, it builds his character and shows his flaws. Cena loses a lot, yet y'all cry about Super Cena. Lesnar really was Super Lesnar and now you cry because he got beat. Squashed even. Adds intrigue to the show, creates at least one more match (if not two more) and builds Goldberg's return. Let the gig ride.

I'm all for whatever pisses the smarks off the most. And judging by the reactions here, it's exactly what we saw last night.

Brock isn't dumb either. He knows there's plenty of cash for him too the longer this plays out.

Wasn't Z the only one here actually upset about that ending though?

I liked it. Yeah, it was completely unrealistic. But it's wrestling. It's not supposed to be real. Nosyalgis runs happen. Everybody is so hung up on booking the future.

... And I didn't have to suffer through Lesnar's 3 moves.

.

I'm over New Day's run. They're clearly going to pass Demolition. I'm not sure why WWE wants to break records just to break them even though the title run is completely stale at this point. Hopefully they drop the titles at the very next event after breaking the record.

Yup. Hell most people liked it because it was a shock. I'm still in the camp that hates it

I can understand why those that didn't like the match feel the way they do. In hindsight, with Goldberg beating Lesnar, they could've let Orton get a little more offense in at SummerSlam but oh well. As far as the streak goes, I've made my peace with how that ended. Undertaker is one of my all time favorites and his career has had great things beyond that streak. The streak was something that will never be recreated which is enough I think despite its disappointing end.

Cena loses a lot but is only booked to not be the better wrestler in a fight roughly once a year

I think we're about to see the first legit New Day heel run

New Day, Ellsworth, Fashion police?, all that bull**** is why I haven't watched raw or smackdown since Summerslam. At first I thought it was just a hipster / stupid comedy thing with new day. Then the Bronie **** started, then Breezango, then idk what Ellsworth is doing.

Then I watch SS for Goldberg / Lesnar, Traditional 5v5, and see Owens eliminated early as the highest title holder in the company...yet Reigns is still booked like Cena. No thanks.

Until they commit to some actual pro wrestling, I'll continue to stay out.

Kudos to Smackdown putting the belt on Styles though, that's awesome.
