It was never that way though. I do get what you are saying but for me with the fact WWE is now on the network and not PPV I think you bite the bullet and focus on your young stars to get more people into WWE

People will watch and go to wrestlemania REGARDLESS who's in the main matches. It's Wrestlemania. Using part timers is lame and stupid. Build new stars. Sure use them during the show for fun little segments to hit the old nostalgia button. But don't put them in main event matches over talents who's worked their asses off all year. Use upcoming talent in those high profile matches and maybe some of the casuals who watch it will be intrigued and watch more often. That makes more sense to me. Wrestlemania sells on its name alone. You could have Curtis Axel vs Jimmy Uso as the main event and people would still tune it.
