WWE Thread III

In the short term, I'm thinking Bray wins the title back off of a Luke Harper turn. After that, I'm thinking a Bray-AJ feud leading into SS, depending on who comes over from RAW.

you'd think after that Pokemon episode in the 90s that Shinsuke would know not to come out to strobe lights

I really think this is the only way to do it. Have Bray be a super mastermind that saw Orton's ideas from the beginning and used his right hand man to prove it and get him, because beating him wouldn't be enough. He has to let him taste the win and think he has it all figured out only to realize he wasn't even working the right problem.

That actually sounds really good. Since it's smackdown it might actually happen. If it was Raw I'd say no way.

So apparently Drew McIntyre is back in WWE. I'm super psyched about it.

Never cared for him during his first go-round, but NXT needs an infusion of star power after this week's Raw and AD. Maybe NXT creative can work their magic on Drew and make me interested in him.

I seem to recall both McIntyre and Sheamus coming up at the exact same time, only on Smackdown (Drew) and Raw (Sheamus). They totally could have made a killer tag team. Then after Drew got future endeavored, I moved on to wanting Sheamus paired with Barrett. Basically, I always thought Sheamus would be a great tag team guy with someone else from the Isles.

Maybe if Tyson comes back to team back up with Cesaro, that would open Sheamus to a new partner. I just think the Scots-Irish team creates itself

Sheamus is a great tag team guy with Cesaro. I hope they don't split up for a loooooonnnnmg time. My favorite thing on RAW right now along with Neville. And I've never been a fan of Sheamus prior to this. He and Cesaro just have great chemistry. I enjoy this team more than I did Cesaro and Kidd.

As far as Drew goes, he didn't do anything for me his first run either. But once he was released I saw the kind of work he was doing elsewhere and it became clear it wasn't his fault he didn't deliver the first go around. WWE probably had chains on him, because the guy is super talented in ring and on the mic. I look forward to what he can do this time around.

I had a crazy thought after 'Mania, & I can't be the only one...

What if, just What. If. There is a plan for 3 more Orton title swaps & WM34 is Cena/Orton (because we've never seen that) for the first 17 time champ?

We know there will be a #17 & other than Orton, HHH is the next closest, but he's all but retired.

It's a storyline...

Any chance y'all think Orton gets a couple more title opportunities, then they have Orton and Cena in a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania where both are in line to tie Flair's mark with a win?

except replace tie with break

I've had the same thought. JBL brought up the comparison on Smackdown. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they tried to work towards a Cena/Orton title match at next year's WM, winner passes Flair. Of course, that means Orton would have to be defending the title.

Triple threat where the 3rd person is the defending champion

Possible, but I think they would get better build if it was Cena/Orton 1 on 1, without another name to distract from the drama of passing Flair.

Assuming they even want someone to pass Flair. In which case a triple threat might make sense.

It's impossible to have both of them "pass" Flair with a win if one of them holds the belt. Only other way is if the belt is stripped from someone and neither of them is defending it at Mania

WWE is delusional enough to to think people would want to see this. Lol

I think the story of the 2 most successful wrestlers of the last decade competing against each other on the grandest stage of them all for the chance to break the record is a good story

You're right about that. Neither could be holding the belt for both to have a chance to pass Flair.

Frankly, I don't want to see anyone pass Flair, but that's just me.
