WWE Thread III

Current most championships. Cena-16, Orton-13, HHH-14
With the brand split it would be difficult, but a triple threat at 34 for the elusive, yet inevitable 17 wouldn't be a terrible story.

Then throw in Flair as the special guest referee....

I think the story of the 2 most successful wrestlers of the last decade competing against each other on the grandest stage of them all for the chance to break the record is a good story

I've seen Orton vs Cena enough. And none of their matches or fueds have ever been any good. It would be a good story if it was anyone but Cena and Orton.

I don't recall the entire feud, but I do vividly remember the end-it-all I Quit match. And it was awesome. It showed the dastardly lengths to which the Viper would go. And it showed probably the worst odds John Cena has ever overcome.

It's absolutely mind boggling that Wyatt faced Cena, Taker, Rock, and Orton at Wrestlemania to start off his career.

He was the Smackdown champ going into Wrestlemania, I'd say that's a good push. It was dumb to have him lose though, we'll just have to see what happens.

At some point, he does deserve more main event attention though. No one has drawn more consistent pops like has for the last two years.

Isn't there a spot for a guy like that though without putting a belt on him? To me, part of his appeal is that he's not concerned with the title. He's there because he's unique, can tell a story and have conflicts without needing a belt as a prop. Sort of like Mankind, Roddy Piper, etc.

The guy can put over anybody, and it doesn't change the reaction he gets whatsoever.

I would agree. My question is why give him clean pins over Cena (twice!) and Styles only for him to lose to Orton?

I'd be perfectly fine with him not in title pictures. But even the bad guy has to win a couple of major feuds, or at least hold the power in the feud for a long time in those scenarios. Storylines are so short nowadays it does give off the aura of he just can't win

Sunday Triple H broke a new Wrestlemania record.

12th Wrestlemania loss, most all time.

lol he was tied with Shawn and Show. When I read your post, I wondered how many Big Show had lost. His record is abysmal. 4-11. Apparently that record doesn't include any pre-show matches. He's actually 5-12 at the Mania event.

I've seen some tweets but no story confirming, Mauro Ranallo has left WWE.

Screw JBL.

Sad if true. I enjoyed Ranallo's announcing. He actually knew how to do play-by-play, and his enjoyment of the job really came through.

I used to be a JBL fan, and I agree that he needs to go. Nobody phones it in at the announce table worse than him.
