Saw this last night, really good movie. My question is are we now to assume that Wolverine no longer has Adamantium in his body?
If he's now a history teacher I would say he has more problems than that. Well maybe not now in the present with his old memories, but the Wolverine that teaches would be a neutered version of his current self. That is to say his struggles and losses defined who he his and would have been as do they us all.
X-Men: Days of Future Past - 8/10
It was good but from everything that I had heard I expected more. I like how it more or less reboots the franchise. However I still wanted to see more action a la Avengers or any of the other Marvel films that includes Spider-Man. I loved the cameos at the end of Famke Janssen & James Marsden such a shame that the characters of Jean & Cyclops were never used properly. It would be nice with this soft reboot if we get to see them done right even with other younger actors. How great could the Dark Phoenix saga be on film if done right!
For future films can we please see some epic X-Men comic book action! How hard would it have been to see Logan decapitate a Sentinel??

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Takes Place 10 Years After DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Director Bryan Singer and writer Simon Kinberg haven't really been very shy about talking about the next installment of the X-Men franchise. Whenever they're asked about it they go ahead and reveal little bits of information, and we've got a new one for you today. During a recent podcast Q&A with Jeff Goldsmith, Kinberg revealed that X-Men: Apocalypse will take place in 1983, which is ten years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
We knew that the story would most likely take place in the 1980s, but this information gives us an exact date. The movie will also introduce and explore different characters at different ages during that timeframe. It was previously revealed that James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult will all be back to reprise their roles, and that we might also see Gambit and Nightcrawler as well. It's also been confirmed by Kinberg that we'll see younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm.
I grew up in the 80s, so it's going to be fun to see that era brought to life like on the big screen in the form of an X-Men movie. X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016.
Also, it seems like we're on course to get Age of Apocalypse for the following sequel (set in the 90s in an alternate universe - an important part of X-Men history is changed by a time-traveler, which transforms the entire world and all the characters). It would be so much fun. It's my favorite X-Men storyline.
So this first one with Apocalypse would not be about time travel, and Age of Apocalypse only has a small element of time travel to the story. It's what enables the storyline, but it wouldn't be a big part of the action. In fact, none of the X-Men know they are in an alternate universe.
Everything is different, too. Magneto's totally a good guy, not an anti-hero. Wolverine is named Weapon X, and he's missing a hand. If I remember correctly, Cyclops is a villain. Etc. I don't want to ruin any of the story (all that is just backstory), but that gives you a taste of how different it is.
I honestly can't even remember how it resolved.
