bad news for Xavier, I was hoping they'd win.

good news for my bracket though.

OSU looked bullet proof today.

They looked anything but...Luck was on their side again, it won't last long enough for a championship. I can't believe Xavier didn't foul after he missed the free throw. And Oden should have gotten a T for that shove he gave..

You are exactly right. I totally screwed up that idiom like an idiot.

What did luck have to do with it? They were all but left for dead with 3 minutes to go and down 9 and they responded like a championship team is supposed too...they pulled together and got it done...luck had nothing to do with it...They were pretty much outplayed the whole game and when they needed to turn it on they did...

Also, it's easy now to say they should have fouled after the miss but the last thing you want when you have the lead is to give the other team a chance to score without the clock running...

Negative, you always have to foul in that situation and depend on your team to hit free throws when you get the ball back.

No, what you do is not let the other team drive down and take a pretty much uncontested three...

OSU outrebounded Xavier all day I believe, the last thing you want to do is give them a chance to make one miss the second on purpose and get a bunny to tie the game up...

Uncontested??? Missing free throws on purpose???

First, the shot was not uncontested.

Second, this is not playing 21 in the backyard, where you miss free throws on purpose. With 7.5 seconds on the clock, OSU would have tried to make both free throws and Oden had fouled out...therefore, Xavier would have the advantage on the boards.

It's easy to now look back because Lewis hit a three to say that they should have fouled...if he missed the three the idea to fould probably never comes up...only because he went down and made it and they ended up losing is why this comes up...

Your entitled to your opinion...as am I...

He has been correct in the argument.

By the way, when OSU was running down the court I was screaming for the foul, so it's not like it didn't come up. You just can't let those guys take a 3 like that.

Agreed you don't have 5' 8" Lavender guarding Lewis who was money all day from 3...

EDIT: Lavender is listed at 5'7"

You have to admit X's defense during that last possession for OSU in regulation could have been ALOT better...

I thought that Oden should have been called for an intentional foul on his last one.
