XFL 2023

Question, when the AFL came out did they have any different rules, if so did the NFL pick any of them up?

not sure about on the sidelines, but there are a decent amount of players on the field with headsets (on the offense, I think all skill positions have them). on defense, I think it's like 5-6 guys have them in (can't remember)

Two players on defense will be tuned in, and fifteen players on offensive will have helmet speakers we have learned. This is how the XFL plans to speed up the game in under three hours.
This means that defensive coordinators can link with a Mike to manage the front seven, and a DB to make calls in the secondary. It’ll allow defenses to adjust faster on their feet, and switch up their looks with ease.

Offense, however, is where this gets really exciting. With 11 starters and 4 skill position subs linked in, coaches could go completely no-huddle and run play after play on the fly

so that source and a few others I saw are from December. I swear the announcers said 5 or 6 guys on defense had the helmet headsets, but maybe I misheard or something
