XFL 2023

After week 1 have any of you chosen a team yet?

1) Already committed to a team before the season started.
2) Picked a team after watching week 1.
2) Going to wait and watch more before deciding.
3) Not going to pick a team and just going enjoy the league.
4) Don’t care.

I guess DC since I used to live there. I adopted all of the teams when I moved there except for the Redskins, and I am trying to keep my disdain for the Skins from carrying over to the Defenders.

Sounds like The DC Defenders could become America’s team.

I agree with you, I think their uniforms are the best, and nobody else is even close.

Really? They're just red. Boring lol but it is a nice shade of red and they are the most traditional looking. They're nice. I think every team has decent unis besides the Vipers and Renegades. Those just don't do it for me. Well actually Houston is meh, hate that Texans shade of red, it's pretty ugly.

LA got the best uniforms imo, but the organization already seems disfucntional. Lol. I'm down between New York and St. Louis for my team I think. But I might not pick one. They will expand if it keeps being successful down the road.

No offense "bro", but you not playing in the league has way more to do with they don't want you. If you were worth the trouble, you'd be in uniform.

Seems funny for a guy who couldn't make it in the CFL and was a backup in the AAF is throwing shade at the XFL.

Anybody who watched the AAF, did they have interesting rule changes like the XFL?

They also had no extra points, but every time was a 2 point conversion. There were no kickoffs, teams got the ball on the 25 yard line. Instead of an onsides kick, the team could go for a 12 yard play at their own 28 yard line. I think there were some illegal defense calls too, like you couldn't do certain rushes or something like that.

Those are the only ones I remembered.

You could only do the "onside play" when trailing with less than 5 minutes to go

Couldn't rush more than 5 players

SKEDBALL: Weekly Sports TV Ratings 2.3-2.9.2020 | Showbuzz Daily

XFL's opening week ratings were pretty solid. 3 of the 4 games were over 3 million viewers, the 4th was the ESPN game at just under 2.5 million. 3 of the 4 games beat the highest rated Saturday Night prime time NBA game on ABC (Lakers at Warriors, 2.88 million). The highest rated game was Tampa at NY on FOX on Sunday at 3.3. million and the only sporting event with a higher rating was the Sunday finale of the PGA Pebble Beach tournament which got 3.5 million.

The AAF's initial game on CBS got 3.25 million viewers a year ago, although that game was a prime time matchup.
