According to USA Today, fans buying tickets on the secondary market paid anywhere from $130.00 to $675.00 for entry to Audi Field. By comparison, Redskins tickets were selling for as little as $5.00 in November when the team was going nowhere.

Yeah I'm calling BS on paying that much, unless some poor suckers were duped. It was a good crowd but it still wasn't a full house. There's no way demand was that high to justify those prices.

There was a huge late surge on demand the end of last week after the XFL had already given a bunch of tickets away. I can confirm that tickets were selling Friday night for north of $200.
that said, they were giving them away again on veteran sites again this week

Considering the XFL isn't even trying to be a threat to the NFL that won't be happening. The only major American sports league that might even consider promotion/regulation would be the MLS and they've shown no signs of pursing that

It's a fun idea, but you'd have to move pretty much every XFL team other than St Louis, because they're all in existing markets.

Non club seats selling for cheap. First hand I just got an email for $20 lower level seats direct from the Defenders. This is a typical DC thing. For years, the Redskins sold out not because of rabid fans, but because of political favors and the pink hat social scene. The Defenders are actually in DC (opposed to the nightmarish trip to Fedex if you are in downtown DC) and therefore easy access. The stadium wasn’t half full at the start, reached its max of about 85% full a little into the second quarter and was less than 50% again before the third quarter even finished last week. It’s just about being seen
