Yeah USCe looks like a real juggernaut

If Second Half Justin Worley continues, Tennessee has a great chance.

Uh, no kidding. If Second Half Worley had come to play in the Swamp or even the first half of UGA, Tennessee is 5-1 with two wins over ranked teams and likely ranked ourselves.

I wonder about something. If we dominate South Carolina, hang with Bama, and win out the rest of the games, are we ranked at the end of the year?

Is 8-4 with losses to Oregon, Florida, Georgia and Bama good enough to be ranked in the end? My vote would be yes, especially if we can crush South Carolina.

I think it would. That would mean that the Vols have three wins over Top 25 teams: USCe, Mizzou, and Auburn. Their 4 losses would come to teams ranked 2, 17, 7, and #1 respectively.

Only beat UK by 7 today...in a game a lot like our win over South Bammer and nearly lost to UCF the week before that.

I am not underestimating them...they have a senior QB and a tough D, but if we could go toe to toe with uga today, we can take them too. Looking forward to it!

Under Dooley I would have felt a numb sense of dread...not so this year.

Be careful about sleeping on the cocks.

It may be that they squeaked by on UK but you can well believe that they will be fully up to play TN. Looks like Clowney is going to be back on roster too - and Spurrier is one of the most slippery coaches with more tricks in his bag than treats. As a Vol during the old days of UT-FL games I learned NEVER underestimate Spurrier.

Im afraid TN may get the Cocks A game next week. The Big Spur hates the vols and likes to take out his frustrations on the team in Orange. I still think TN has a shot if they play the way they did in the second half against UGA, but Shaw will run and pass on us and the Cocks RB (DAVIS) is better than the backs we saw for UGA. Plus Cocks defense is likely better than UGA's. Will be a hard fought game. There is a reason they will likely be 6-1 ranked near the top 10 when we play them.

No Doubt - Likely top 20. But I don't see that playing out unfortunately. We got a tough draw this year with Mizz looking great, and Auburn looking good. There really aren't many games where TN will be favored the rest of the way.

I think this is going to be a very hard game to win. I think South Carolina will throw everything they have at us.I would hope that Tennessee can gain enough first downs running the ball.

It is sad that we are down to calling uscjr a big win if we beat them. that shows how far we have fallen. though i am still considered insane because i believe we can beat bammer in tuscalosser.

Yeah I guess beating a top 25 team is not a big deal right? I mean SC has really stunk for the past 3-4 years.

Well we really didn't go toe to toe with Uga. They were missing several toes.. I am proud of the way our guys fought though!

We didn't go toe to toe with Georgia? Up 31-24 with 2 mins to go, lost in OT after losing a fumble at the goal line.... that's not toe to toe?

I know you're saying they lost a RB and 2 receivers. Well, we went in without our #2 RB, one of our top LBs and 2 of our best DTs. Injuries are part of the game.... for both teams.

I think if Tiny shuts down Clowney that would greatly improve his Draft Stock. If he comes out this year, I would expect him to be a first rounder without any problems. If he can dominate Clowney 1 on 1, then I would wager he is a top 10 pick for a team that needs a franchise left tackle.

Whatever you do, don't sell spurrier short. He hates UT. He will get his team up for the game. If UT can play against the gamecocks like tonight, that may be the game when we turn the corner. Of all the coaches I like to beat, it is probably spurrier.

No offense, but I don't think the players will play harder/better just because the coach hates a school. However they do seem to always play UT tough even awhile back.

This is testament to a program on the rise and a program that has fallen and has yet to get up.Spurrier is a good coach..props..but there will be a time when the Vols come back to relevance in the conference. May take a while and a bump filled road or we may come out right now and kick
Spurriers ass..ME? I am all in for the latter GFBO

Okay USCe looked good today...but understand that Arkansas is a terrible team. Their 3 wins come against lower division Samford (and they trailed late in the 3rd), La-Lafayette (who at least has a winning record at 3-2) and Southern Miss, literally one of the worst teams in CF at 0-5.

Still feel good about our chances, but it's gonna be a war. Hope Neyland is rocking!

USCe does not have a dominate personnel advantage over Tennessee. What they do have is years in the Spurrier system and the expectation that they will win; at this point Tennessee's players are still "hoping" to win. It will be a dog fight. Time for the Orange to kick the door in. GBO.

I like the way you think. :)
