Yellowstone (Paramount Network)

The cowboys are the best characters on the show, eventhough they’re nothing more than supporting characters. The only Dutton I like is Kayce, but he’s flawed like the others.

I am interested to see a 1990s/2000s version of Yellowstone with Josh Lucas as John Dutton in his prime years. Josh Lucas has been fantastic in the flashbacks. Hopefully Sheridan eventually makes it to that era in a few years with the spin-offs.

After watching 1883, 1923 and Yellowstone I’ve come to the conclusion that the Dutton clan never has been very bright. Just stubborn and lucky.
A great man once said……
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”

Coolidge forgot to mention that once you run into a talented, smart and persistent person you’re screwed if all you have is persistence and determination.

Good thing there are very damn few of those. That is why most of the time it’s stupid people at the top of things.

Jamie is weak and has let his little head control him and he's made a few mistakes, ...he and I are the only ones ever to let that happen. Other than that I like Jamie.
I read somewhere that Jamie could be a Dutton after all. Like his mom was a Dutton and that's why his Dad kept telling Jamie they took your Birth right and John Dutton had promised his mom some stuff but maybe John is just saying he was adopted but he could be John's Brother or something other. He may just be what he is we won't know till the tree is filled out.

I think he will be on 6666 show the Costner thing is not been confirmed by Taylor. But what I saw is he is writing and directing and staring in a movie so it isn't long term just while he is doing that .
That makes sense. It needs way more than Jimmy and that hot piece that adopted him.

What happened to raising show Horses and was going to make a bunch of money doing it at the end of last season and haven't heard a word about it this season. And Beth selling meat would be smart since they have no good income.

I met Forrie Smith last week. He was promoting his Oak and Eden bourbon. Standup guy. I feel like he plays himself a lot with his role as Lloyd. He gave me a good improv set story after I told him that the best scenes on the show involve him and Cole.

So are we not going to get a conclusion to 1923 its just going to jump to 1944?

Glad to see I'm not the only one confused. I read something the other day, Monday I believe, that said "Season 2 of 1883 was a go!". It also talked about 1923, 1944, Yellowstone and the New Bass show. Lol.
The strike(s) have everything on hold. They can ok new shows or renewing seasons, but writing and production is at a stand still.

Real excited about the Bass Reeves project. Real life inspiration for the Lone Ranger but much more badazz! Couldn’t make it back then because he was black. There have been a couple other attempts but meh. Trust Sheridan to do his story right.

Yeah I think I understand that part, now explain why they're saying Season 2 of 1883 is a go.

I don’t Watch, but I thought I read the Bass show is season 2 of 1883.

I know the Harrison Ford edition is getting a season 2, but they can’t film it yet.

I was just being a smartass. Lol. If you look hard enough you can figure out most of what's going on, but you have to look harder than I want to sometimes.

1883 isn’t exactly getting a Season 2 – but initially, Lawmen: Bass Reeves was thought to be its replacement.

1883 is technically followed by 1923, a sequel series also taking place before the events of Yellowstone. The show will also live on via Lawmen: Bass Reeves, chronicling the life of the “legendary lawman,” as per TV Line.

As for a direct follow-up to 1883, Sheridan said he “wanted to make a ten-hour movie that ended, and that’s what we did,” so don’t expect one in a hurry.

“I created this peek through time to show you this one specific journey. I’m not someone who likes to tie everything up in a bow and explain how everyone lived happily after, or didn’t,” he told Deadline.

“I also wanted to create something you could watch and be completely enthralled and fulfilled, having never seen Yellowstone. Let it live on its own merits.
