If you were choosing between Tennessee and any other SEC school, would Tennessee still be on yiur list after coming here this morning?

No Jones is not the hire I expected either. But to compare him to Dooley at this point? This guy is a proven winner and was willing to take a chance on UT when many others would not. All I'm concerned about is what defense we run. We need to run a 4-3. If he does that then he's won the first battle for me.

You realize that recruits and their parents are smart enough not to decide on the school they attend based on a chat board. It's a bit more involved than that.

Well we didn't help our cause any with this hire.. They'll be lucky to hold onto what they got at this point..

Well Im Suporting my VOLS! You deal with what life throws at you! I have been a Vol for 40 Years and will be till my dying breath! and I know there are a ton more like me!

You are correct. So we should stop posting negativity. The mods should ban ALL NEGATIVE POSTS, IMMEDIATELY.

So quiet your negative tone. Recruits read this. We need to appear happy and content that our AD and Chancellor hired another cheap coach. ooops!!!

Recruits came to play for UT coz Dooley did not have anything to sell personally other than his Dads name.

Recruits will come to play for UT and Jones can show his 4 conference title wins to go with too!!

Recruits also watch football and see we are are steaming pile of dog poo at the moment.

I hope he succeeds, but am almost positive he won't.

Out of the 4 schools in the sec looking for coaches we did get the one with the most upside,, those schools must have thought a lot of him to elevate his post,, not my first choice but definitely not my last,,
Givem hell coach Jones!!

Dave Hart has done what most in Knoxville have not been able to do and thats unite the fans

Except its against them

Doesn't recruit well in the Big East. That's the key. By comparison to the SEC, Gundy and Strong aren't very good recruiters either. His recruiting will improve now that he's in the SEC. It just will. It's part of being here.

Will it improve ENOUGH? We shall see. But don't worry, we're not going to have a roster stocked full of Big East level talent. There's no way that will happen.

Yeah i bet if you did a poll right now about whether Hart should be fired, i bet it would almost be unanimous.. He finally brought us together....

Good to know. Maybe with that SEC boost he'll be able to break into the top 40 for once. Granted, UK, Ole Miss, Vandy and Miss St. will still outrecruit us, but at least he'll improve over what he did at Cincy.

Who has he coattailed? I'm more impressed with CentMich moreso than Cincy. He is flat out better HC than Strong. Just don't know about recruiting. But we didn't have to beg him to come, the f'n man wanted to be here. Get on the train or stfo.

Of course he did. His other options were to stay at Cincy and make less money or go to Colorado.
