Simple Question.....When he brings his Staff. Name one person that has previous ties to the University of Tennessee.....3 years we will be where we are....

What is this "ties to the University of Tennessee" thing. Who cares? Just recruit, win, and love wearing orange.

And neither Miles nor Saban consistently won there. Butch Jones has won. Get over it.

When Saban was at msu, he got smoked by lsu in a bowl where lsu was coached by the guy saban replaced - dinardo. Lsu hired saban anyway and the rest is history

I hope our players don't give up as easily as the posters on this board. Jones wanted this job, which is more than you could say for a lot of other coaches. Will he succeed? Jeez, I hope so. But let's give him a chance before starting the "Fire Butch Jones" website. Whattaya say?

The university of Tennessee has chosen by the hires of cheek and hart to be something other than what we where .The Tennessee family .

I feel sick.

I can't believe we turned away FUlmer, a true proven vol, for another unproven coach from a small school.

fulmer is a proven loser in SEC east. His rocking time is over. Even usf/kentucky did not offer him a job. will We hire him just because he is a vols. Hart is not Idiot as you.

How do you expect people to react? The guy was being mentioned for the Colorado, Purdue, and Kentucky jobs. Then all of a sudden, because of the **** ups of Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek he ends up in Knoxville.

I like Jones, but this is just stupid. Both of those coaches had success at programs in major conferences before they came to the SEC.
