Its a tough spot for Hart, the programs definitely going down hill, no final fours in 8 years, consistently not living up to preseason rankings, and recruiting has turned into a disaster, but how do you fire a coach that's been to 3 elite eights in four years?

Get Donald Trump to do it.:)

Keep the Faith 66....keep the faith!

It isn't about faith. It's about interpretation of what you and I see. We obviously see things differently and you may know a lot more about WBB, even BB in general than I do...

I do however stick to the over arching point of my post...If Dave Hart fires Holly Warlick after 3 E8's in four years, what top tier coach would want the job?

Given the fact that Michael White is now the coach at UF and Donnie Tyndall is working at some DII school or wrestling or something, with regards to faith...yeah, short supply on that front that Dawn Staley or someone of that ilk would be jumping at this job.

As I said, you want to go out and hire an up and comer...it'll be fun to watch. I'm in either way.

A very compelling answer, but perhaps you should drag your ass into the new century and see what's up. Sorry if I hit a nerve about you coaching grammar school girls. It's really something that is desperately needed at this time.

12 yr olds , 13, 18, 20 don't matter, I can coach any age... Team, gym, and invite the press... I know what I can do...

+++++++++++++

But this post isn't about our p'ing contest... It is to let the university know that there is more than just a passing fancy and a few fans when it comes to Lady Vols basketball.... Arguably richer than football.

I do not want to go through another season of decline.... I know in sports it is good to have a short memory, but not in the administration of sports. Something has to change. If it can't be Holly, it has to be a someone with a offensive-vision.

Thanks for posting, I'll read whatever you link up...from the two stories you posted I got she liked Candace, then she liked some UConn players...sounds like she never visited Tennessee...we have a young point guard, is she a point guard? Article mentioned "log jam"...which is kind of what I thought.

I mean, she was a UConn fan, they're going for their fourth Natty and she got an offer. Good for her.

I like your passion Jumper, but I'll still challenge you on coaching at the higher levels. One thing we can agree on..........Go Lady Vols!!

I have family that coach in Rutherford Co......she is being nice in the interviews, people that know her know that she did not want to play for a program that lost so many games......No point guard on our team could keep her off the floor by the way....that excuse is a DREAM

I don't see Holly Warlick ever getting Tennessee to a Final Four. This was her best and last real chance! She has made it a point of emphasis to talk about injuries in recent press conferences, looking for empathetic nods of agreement from the press, who are probably discreetly laughing to themselves based on the plethora of talent stacked on this team. She has, many times, tooted her own horn for being a defensive minded coach, and yet, I was thinking Syracuse had a real shot at putting up 100 on her "great" defense today. Early in the game, Syracuse was shooting uncontested 3 point shots, but were missing, but proceeded to launch a total of 30 in the game, and those same early shots started falling. Most folks already know she is an offensive midget, but that skill set spilled over to the defensive side of the court today and the team, by her own admission, played poorly. I cringed as I saw Mercedes Russell out at the free throw line, defending guards who blew by her on their way to an easy layup...no one inside the paint to even attempt to block a shot! They were slow to go out on 3 point shooters all game, boxing out was poor, and as Diamond pointed out in post game presser, communication was poor among teammates on defensive side of the ball. This is not a well coached team, they made a run in the post season on talent alone, and as recruiting continues to bear little fruit, you "sunshine pumpers" will enjoy the ride, I'm sure!

Ya win some, you lose some...I can't fault the young lady, I may hate UConn but they are the best program in the country...Amari Rodgers spurns his own dad and de-commits from USC commits to Clemson...I mean...I guess that bugs you, that we can't have every recruit we want like we used to...until we win something we're like everybody else...goes for all sports.

I am a coach. And a good one. I have drills that are unique to me. I can make a team look like they have played together for a season, on day one. . . I can have a set of five girls shoot 40 shots a minute in one of my drills right from the gitgo. Just can't seem to get a break here in Knoxville yet.

I know my confidence is mistaken for arrogance often. The line that separates the two is infinitly thin... But the one thing I do know is coaching basketball. My relationship with BB and coaching is many years. The game has been very good to me.

Thats why I take this year so hard. Given these girls, I know they could have been coached better.

It would be fun. Then if Hart goes out and misses like he's done every time, remember he got lucky with Jones and Barnes...well that would just add to the glee.

"He misses every time, except for the times when he doesn't."

"He misses every time, except for the times when he doesn't."

C'mon...He wanted Michael White, Michael White wanted 6 years, that was the sticking point and Hart wouldn't give in, so White passed. Then we got Tyndall, who got a six year deal, but of course was fired for cause after one season, but the fall out began almost immediately. Then in the same way Stallings got the Pittsburgh job, Barnes got the UT job...and you know what I'm glad Barnes is here because the fall out from Hart's handling of Martin...this would be so much worse than that.

He wanted and thought he had Charlie Strong from Louisville, he's now at Texas and we ended up with Jones and if he loses to UF this season...well...

the natives will be restless yet again...

Every player interviewed has said the program goal is to get to the Final Four and win championships. Holly has failed to achieve the goal for all four years, the number of losses are increasing every year and the program just fell out of the rankings for the first time in 31 years. The program is backsliding, recruiting is down and the HC is responsible. Hart could fire Holly, but he won't-- not this year and probably not next.

What is interesting about this comment is that every coach and every player for a college team says that and if UConn wins again, for the last four years you are literally talking about every D1 Coach and player except for UConn.

No way we lose this games with Reynolds in....Carter's two fingers not tapped together....Bash two fingers not tapped together and a healthy Jasmine Jones! It seems like it's a freak injury EVERY year that prevents us from earning a FF birth! Holly had to play a freshman PG in her first EE game and a guard whose supposed to handle the ball with two fingers tapped together...we played as well as I thought we could against the pressure of Syracuse.

Taped??????????????????

They looked like they were a car wreck.
Never heard a report of a break, so it was jammed. for both of them. If it was broke, they would have x-rayed it immediately...

That was the biggest job of over-reacting to a jammed finger I have ever seen,.

You yank the finger, take a 4 inch piece of tape and tape "loosely" at two points.... Those body casts were unneeded.
