No Butch said he texted him trying to get him to take the Colorado job.

And you are a pathetic troll using a typo from a cell phone to try to lend yourself credibility.

To those on the other side of this argument... babyavi is about the worst representative you can have.

So I am understanding you correctly that you believe PM sent the message because he thought if Colorado could lure Jones away Gruden was still in play?

I think you misunderstood my post. First of all I watched the presser, so I heard what BUTCH JONES the HC of University of Tennessee had to say about his interaction with Peyton Manning. Second, trolling would be introducing a lie about Gruden, and manifesting a dragon head of hate once someone else get's announced.

Again here is the Hitler quote for all you Gruden fanatics

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”

He also said "the best lies have a lot of truth to them" hero.

So does that mean I should wait on the 48 hour Gruden thing, or is it between 3 and 6 pm? or 12 CST? I'm confused, since none of that was real, factual, nor important. We got a great football coach today, and all you folks playing with Boosters hard earned cash is simply hilarious. I'm glad Big Jim decided to show up for the presser, because I'm sure he "signed" off on the hire, like he does everyone.

I am not saying anything Doc, I am asking a question.

Why would Peyton Manning during a coaching search
at his Alma Mater, encourage a coach to take a job other than his.

Certainly not a ringing endorsement but I do not claim to know why.

I am asking the question.

Can anyone answer?

Probably because he's not a good candidate for QB at Denver.

No, you must have mis-typed your post.

"I don't know a Petting Manning, and if you mean PEYTON, then I believe PEYTON likes Butch, knows he is well respected and put in a good word for a friend in Denver. Not that hard to figure that one out."

But you still did not answer my simple question unless you call putting in a good word an answer.

It is wrong on two fronts. The first is the fact that it is not what he said.

He tried to get him to take the job. The Head Coach of the University of Tennessee's own words.

Because it was before Jones was being considered for the UT position, nimrod.

Hart said in the press conference that Jones was in his top three from the start.

EZE. Keep creepsn.

Still did not answer the question.

Just attacked grammar done on a 4 inch screen. What a sharp wit you have.

Haha...so dramatic. I didn't realize I had attacked you. My apologies, Warrior.

My answer to your question is I don't know. I was just asking if you were implying anything from your question.

Completely Subjective and not founded. Peyton could have been joking.

YOU. ARE. WRONG. I remember years ago when all the talk was the need to breakup the "good ole boy" system.

Well it got broke up. Now the people who BLEED orange are powerless. This is what it has gotten us. An Ad and a Chancellor that work in the night with disregard for the Tradition of UT.

When the PHDs in the school realize that the 18 million they gave back to the Athletic Department will NEVER be returned because there will be No profit from football they will be furious.

That money gave Cheek and Hart the ability to flip the Boosters the bird and go behind their back with this hire.

It is astounding that we have given our University away.

It is unfortunate that Coach Jones and his wonderful family are now caught up in this.[/QUOTE)

CO wanted CBJ bad. The Cinci AD said he was blown away by the things they were offering him. It's not out of the realm of possibilities that someone at CO knows Manning and asked him to put in a good word.

Stop reading conspiracies into things.

Ok. I will stop "conspiring", since you seem to be afraid of it, and just assume the most logical choice.

Peyton did not think he was an option for UT.

And now you come out with your implication. Earlier it was just a question.

LOL. That was certainly not my implication. I think that is not even close to the reason. It is just the simplest explanation.

So you think Peyton just randomly texted a stranger to put in a good word for the CO job? That's the simplest explanation?

Its pretty obvious that CO was pulling out all the stops trying to persuade CBJ to take the job. Someone asked Manning, who happens to live in CO now, to put in a good word. THAT is the simplest explanation.
