i have tried to limit this to one and I just can't. I've spent about eight years trying to narrow the list down and all I wound up doing was adding another a couple of years ago:

In no particular order:

Citizen Kane
Driving Miss Daisy
Rain Man
Tommy Boy
Schindler's List
Shawshank Redemption
Gone Baby Gone

Geez this is hard to pick. I have 4 or 5 top candidates. They are: Top Gun, Slingblade, The Crow, The Jerk and Man On Fire.

My favorite is........Top Gun.

I take mine back. I love all of the ones listed, but my favorite of all time is BRAVEHEART.

I always wondered if people like you existed.

Why whatever do you mean? All of the movies I mentioned are thought provoking and enlightening in so many ways. You must be talking about Shawshank. I mean, Tommy Boy is one of the most inspirational movies ever! (note, I'm probably going to be making Tommy Boy quotes the rest of the day. Unfortunately, most people in my unit are too young to know the glory of Chris Farley)

I always wondered if people like you existed.

Obviously several of us exist. You being such a stat geek should know that. Then again, I can understand you not getting it.

Master and Commander, The Far Side of the World

I don't have a single, most favorite movie, but of all the movies I have, that is the one that I could watch once a week and not get tired of it.

I could watch that once a week, also. Fascinating point in history and technology.

Full Metal Jacket. The first 20 minutes are celluloid history.
