Thats what the whole discussion has been about. I have clearly stated that not all churches run in accordance with the Bible, and some don't even try.

But Im sure God can find churches that are.

so i assume you are of the belief that the bible is the written word of god? personally i believe it's a good book, but has been some of it has been lost in translation (if you will) due to it's human editors.

Interesting statement. I have heard that from people before. IYO what makes it a good book?
Just curious, I have got many different answers when I asked this question before, some were very interesting.

and then i'm also to assume god believes that churches are a good thing too?

If you read the first few chapters of the book of Revalation, Jesus' message was to those 7 churches. Notice that he does say to some of them that He has things against them. No He is not pleased with all churches, but there are churches that he is pleased with.

Where are those "human" morals derived from? Why does *almost every country recognize marraige as a union between 1 man and 1 woman?

why do they have to be derived from anything? every ancient society knew killing was wrong. a marriage between 1 man and 1 woman is plain common sense for the sake of a well working society unless you want jealous lovers to be going around killing people. these things have zero to do with christianity. to argue otherwise is ridiculous.

We have had this discussion in other threads about morality. And at some point in history it was decided that murder was morally wrong.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you mean Mark 10:25 here.

Granted, said verse is still being taken out of context, which sadly is often the case.

Many times Bible verses are very detrimental to the Bible because people think each verse is to be taken as a completely independent though and do not read about it.

You are correct Tiger. I meant 10:25. If I am misinterpreting that verse, would you mind enlightening me. I've got an open mind, but that seems like some pretty straightforward text.

If you read the next few verses, Jesus answers what he means in verse 25.
Here is the VBS version: In the old days, only the rich owned and rode camels. Each city had an opening in the wall called the "eye of the needle" through which only a person on foot could pass.(this was to prevent an enimy army from overtaking the city) Since the rich did not like to walk, this was a good visual for them.
Jesus is not saying that if you are rich you can't go to heaven. He is saying that it is very hard for any one to go to heaven with out Christ as their savior.
