Can someone with more knowledge of the situation explain why we want to convey the pick this year? If we stay healthy, I think we could be significantly better next season. Why wouldn’t we want to keep a higher pick this season and send Boston a lower pick next season?
That makes sense. I haven’t payed much attention to 2020 mock drafts at this point, so I don’t know how deep the class is. There are a few players I like in this class though. I guess it depends on how well you think we do next year. Maybe I’m being too optimistic, but I think we could sneak in the playoffs next season as long as we stay healthy. We have to stay healthy though.Draft class this year is not deep at all in talent projections. The #8 pick this year won't be very high quality if you trust the projections.

We’ve definitely been snakebit In recent years. We have some talent, but like you said, we don’t stay healthy. Hopefully everyone does what they need to in order to fully recover this offseason and we have better luck next season. Do you think we’ll look to trade Conley? They don't stay healthy. This team loses significant playing time from virtually every player now. I still don't understand the JJJ situation. It appears they gave up a huge chunk of development and floor time with the new pieces due to a deep bruise (in a 19 year old)?
Apparently the bruise caused enough impact to the muscle to bring the stability of the knee into question. Didn’t want to risk knee injury or injuring something else by compensating for the quad injury. They would have played him if the risk weren’t real because they’re trying to conveyThey don't stay healthy. This team loses significant playing time from virtually every player now. We are likely going to be worse in the future than right now. Get a 9 to Boston in a weak draft instead of giving up a higher pick in a better draft. Can someone with more knowledge of the situation explain why we want to convey the pick this year?
