Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

6th or 7th smallest arena in capacity size too. But yes, they are undeperforming for sure...

Part of that is public safety in Downtown Memphis. Honestly, part of that is the the load mgmt crap with Ja....
7th.

3 of the 6 smaller were built after FedEx (including Brooklyn).

Even the new Clippers arena only holds 206 more people.

Safety isnt how I feel per se; its how the population with disposable income feels. When the people with the money to spend on the tickets dont feel safe....

Or the people with the money are moving further out or out of the market altogether…

The downtown economy is taking a huge hit from Grizz sales being down and Tiger basketball sales being totally a non factor.

It's driving 40-45 mins through detours because the state has neglected interstate/bridge repair for decades, to park a car that may or may not get broken into, to see the same in game entertainment for the past 20 years and take the long way home through all the potholes that the state has neglected to fix for decades. All while hoping my vehicle isnt shot again on the interstate...

The money isnt the issue for me. Playoff basketball is different....

Having to calculate the risk of getting shot for no reason while in a moving car on the interstate is so absurd

Discovering the fact that I can buy a gossett motors garage parking pass for single games has become a difference maker for me. I still hate paying $28 for parking but atleast it’s attached to the arena and the parking is more secure. I’ll attend games, when passes are available.

Living in Germantown, I usually opt for walnut grove to union all the way to downtown. That route is less riskier.
