Your most impressive Freshman today

I’ve been pretty pleased with our underclassmen all season, but Nico stood out to me today. His pocket presence (not presents 😉) was great, and he knew when to take off to get chunk yards.

Cam Seldon can fly. He’s Dylan Sampson fast when hitting the hole. I think the more comfortable he gets to RB position he’s going to eat.

The same thing I say about Nico. The more comfortable he gets playing QB full time as the starter and continues to grow with offense. He’s on another level.

Ga. Had 10 5 stares playing today …Missouri’s 3 stars scared the s••• out of them
Three-star teams play UGA close most every year. Guess what they don’t do? But keep thinking stars don’t matter.

We dropped Adidas from our program in June 2015. These gals all have couple of youngins on their hips now. My nine year old asked yesterday, walking to the stadium “why college girls don’t wear clothes?” My only silent response was “so I have another reason to go to the alter on Sunday morning!”

You're 100% spot on. Kirby is not some X & O genius....far from it. Since he took over at UGA, his first season was his worst class and they were #6 in the country. Since 2017 he's only signed one class that wasn't in the top 3 nationally (they were 4th). That's how you get to where UGA is, it's that simple.

Clearly JH is the best coach we've had since the early 2000s version of Fulmer, but he's got to rachet up the recruiting if we're ever going to take the next step.

You mean the mid-late 90s Fulmer

I think most of the young guys played well. I think Nico still needs some seasoning but he certainly has IT and a lot of talent to go with it. Seldon looked really good and explosive. Gibson was a breath of air. Telander is probably better than Herring in run support. All in all, future looks bright. Would have liked Nico to get another series but Gaston and Shuler have earned some snaps over the last two years.

Something to build on and get out before a cheap shot happens.
Yep, he moves very well impressed with his first step, looks to have the IT factor, but against SEC comp would like to keep him clean he's a toothpick with pads on. Hopefully as he matures he will start gaining muscle weight. Looks like Tyler Bray as a Freshman, strong wind blows and he's gone. I'm sure the coach's were concerned about injuries by his 6' 6" frame stature, LSU QB took a nasty hit last night, SEC is take no prisoner Ds.

No, I mean early 2000s Fulmer. Late 90s Fulmer won back to back SEC titles and a national championship.
Whatever. Regardless, Fulmer didn't takeover a mess when he got the job like Heupel did so that is why you can never really compare the two

Fulmer was one of best ever recruiters in college football
In his prime he was, and we've got to get back to that level. Not saying we won't/can't I'm just saying we won't take the next step if we don't. JH has fixed a lot of problems and he has certainly elevated recruiting, he just hasn't hit that next level yet.

To put an exclamation point on it, last year Saban signed nine 5* players. This is roughly the same number the Vols have signed the last 20 years.

Anyone who doesn’t acknowledge this either isn’t paying attention or is in denial. Recruiting is the biggest piece of the puzzle by far.
