Your take on Clausens quote today

He just said they had a short week to prepare, were banged up and people can say whatever they want. All of which are true.

On a side note, he sure does say "you know" a lot.

Also, I never would have pinned Rick as a RocaWear kind of guy.

he can say what he wants.. fact is if the offense plays like it has the first 4 games we will lose.. Our defense cant carry us all the time look at what happened in Florida...If he goes out there and wins he can expect me and a lot of other people to shut the hell up.. :cross:

BULL!!!!!!!!!!!! That offense has won 3 ballgames. If Fulmer would have left Clausen in the UF game it would have been 4.

Yes I am an EA supporter because he wears an Orange Jersey with a Big T on it. I support all who wear it.
And yes it was a stupid comment and not needed. He and every other player needs to care about the fans. Listen to the coaches but you better care about the fans. He knows that. As a star and leader on a team with the support of a school like UT you better be ready to take some heat. It goes with the territory. I am not jumping on the kid just stating that he made a stupid comment. I will be yelling for him and the rest of the team. But that was a dumb thing to say to the people who support you most.

These whiney fans need to start caring about the players instead of coming on chatboards and whining incessantly about how bad the offense is and sitting on their hands in Neyland Stadium and letting everyone know there is more noise at a New Orleans Funeral than in Neyland Stadium.

As for those who whine about open receivers downfield that Clausen isn'
t throwing to then tell the WR's to run the correct routes if they want to see the ball.

Here's one for people who don't think that "just winning" games is enough:

Go take a look at the 1998 season -- BTW, that's the National Championship we all brag about. We beat a 3-8 Auburn team by only 8, Syracuse by 4, and Arkansas by a near-miracle.

Leave the kid alone. He just stated the obvious. You nit-pickers are the ones he was referring to, anyway.

The Ainge supporters and the ones on Clausen's back for other reasons don't let little things like FACTS get in the way.

Who cares that Rick was just answering the question? Who cares he wasnt popping off at the mouth? It just matters that he is saying something and *they* don't like it.

I don't have a problem with our offense, really. I think we just need better returns so the offense doesn't have to go 80+ yards every time. Either that or we could try and stretch the field more. Maybe a drive in less than 20 plays (<- exaggeration).

I worry about anyone who "likes" UT's offense. What's to like? The offense hasn't been winning games, the defense has. If the Vols didn't have a stout defense, they'd be 1-3 right now. The offense is pretty awful. :(

Then we can thank the defense. But we're gonna need a combination of a better return game and a better flow on offense if we are to be real contenders. Alls we gotta do right now, though, is hope Florida drops one and try to win out. Florida and LSU are out of the way and Georgia is tomorrow, the rest of the schedule should be easy to run the table. I don't think we'll have any trouble with Notre Dame.
