Your *Very* Early Mock Class

Next year Duke will have more players drafted than Tennessee.

No they won't. Duke hasn't had a player drafted since 2004. They've only had two players drafted in the past decade (actually a little more than a decade, since it'll be the 2011 Draft and their other pick came in 2000).

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Luke Stocker will get drafted next season, so that would mean that Duke would have to produce two draftable players - which would match over a decade's worth of production - in just one draft.

Combine that with no Duke prospects on "draft watch," and it's just not gonna happen. And I'm not saying this to be optomistic about Tennessee. Duke just sucks that much ass.

4*- a few
3*- a lot
2*- a couple

5* - 1 or 2
4* - A bunch
3* - Rounding out the rest

Just a guess on my part.

I think the way this season goes will play into how well the '11 class shapes out. Not necessarily W/L (although definitely helps), but competitiveness, team unity, and improvement will be noticed. I got to suspect if top HS talent sees the program heading in the right direction and only lacks depth and experience it could be appealing.

You guys are not getting Drew and its very unlikely you will get Wright either.

Spoken like a true UGA homer...

There were plenty of you here all the way up to February 3rd, 2010 saying we weren't getting Rogers either

Actually I knew you all were getting Rogers before signing day because I talked to him and Nash.

Also why would Drew be recruiting for Georgia if he was going somewhere else. I think you guys may have a shot at Wright but I think it will come down to UGA and Auburn. The only reason I think UGA was back in it for Wright is because of getting Jarvis Jones.

Also when I discuss recruiting I am not trying to be a homer, I am more willing to admit when UGA doesn't have a shot at someone or if I think a player is leaning toward going elsewhere.

According to who? Why would Drew be recruiting for UGA and yet hold off on committing himself...I'd actually like to hear that conversation...

Drew: "Hey man...you really ought to commit to UGA"

Recruit X: "If it's so awesome why haven't you done it yet?"

Drew: "Uh....."

You'll have to forgive me if I don't just blindly believe that when I follow recruiting pretty closely and haven't seen any mention of it until just now from a random pro-UGA poster on a UT message board

It was on a radio show in Georgia where one of the guys had talked to Drew and he said he had been talking to Rome and trying to get him come to Georgia. Lemay had done the same before he made it official that he was going to Georgia. It's not uncommon for that to happen and its also not uncommon for recruits to wait to commit and take all their visits. You obviously dont follow recruiting as well as you believe because it been out there for several weeks now.

a radio show in GA? Seriously? Thats supposed to be a legit source?

Give me a link to a respected recruiting outlet (i.e. Rivals, Scout, etc.) and i'll accept this claim...otherwise I'll just take it at face value (not much)

You can believe it or not it really doesn't matter to me. I am really confident that Drew will be a Dawg and I am starting to become more confident that Rome will be as well. Either way if either were going somewhere besides Georgia its not going to be Tennessee. Drew would be FSU and Rome would be Clemson.

Yawn...same crap you guys said about Da'Rick and JaWuan last year. 45-19:birgits_giggle:

and tons of Vol fans thought Marlon Brown was a Vol. Chances of Rome or Drew being a Vol are slim to none.

Rome no chance, I agree, but Drew will go down to the wire. Two words, Chuck Smith. He is VERY tight with him and Chuck set him up with Michael Strahan. I guarantee you, Strahan is pumping up Chuck Smith all the time. Also one other factor is Dooley's mom and Drew's mom knowing eachother well and being in the same line of work. I am not saying that Drew is going to be a Vol, but we are definitely in this thing. To here that he is already recruiting for UGA is laughable. Typical by UGA fans though.

I knew Jawaun would never be a Dawg and I begin to believe Da'Rick was not going to be about 2 weeks before signing day. I actually thought Da'Rick would possibly change as soon as Nash decommitted from Vandy and chose Tennessee.

I heard on the same radio station that Asylum got his inside info that the NCAA was launching a rescue organization to save former 4 and 5 star talents at the University of Georgia from embracing the mediocracy that Georgia football has enjoyed even with the talent that has been brought in over the years. Kentucky also called and wanted to thank Georgia for their banner win this last year. In other news Volnation has now welcomed another troll poster who "knows his stuff"...

A. I am not trolling I have actually have had some very good discussions with posters here about recruits and recruiting. It's not like I am making some outrageous claims with Drew or Rome. There are alot of guys I think Tennessee has really good shots with and there are a few I think will absolutely be Vols.
B. As far as being mediocre at Georgia. Richt is 90-27 since coming to Georgia thats far beyond mediocre and several outlets that have made lists pertaining to teams of the decade Georgia has been anywhere from 5-8 on those lists. When your worst season in ten years is 8-5, I would say that is better than mediocre and coming from a fan of a team that has had 2 losing seasons in the last 5 years I find that laughable.

Georgia has been a good team over the past few years, no doubt; however, they continually waste talent. Georgia should win 9 games a year automatically considering the talent that is instate. Georgia has been a good program, but never been a program that can take the next step. No way Georgia is a top 5-8 program this decade though. It's ok though because I am sure Mark Richt prays for you guys continually. FYI citing a radio show as a source gives us the perception that you would have troll like qualities, my apologies for jumping to the assumption.
