Zach Azzanni

Okay. all I got from this thread: Math sucks and the world is racist.

BTW a study by Oxford found that the USA is one of the least racist countries and that the most racist areas of the US were in the north; mostly African-Americans being racist against Asians in traditional African-American communities that are now beginning to have many Asians move into that area...

I did some work in Battle Creek/ Kalamazoo area of Michigan and that was the most racism against African-Americans that I have ever witnessed after a lifetime of living in the south.

FIFA having to warn European countries not to make monkey noises and throw bananas when black soccer players score...............................

Did we get a WR coach?

Bruin, I like you. Don't always agree with you but I respect your opinion. I think you know how I feel about this hire. I have refrained from expressing my opinion on this hire as an attempt to give him a chance. I have said on numerous occasions that I hope he succeeds at the highest level but I have no confidence that he will. He is going to have to prove it to me starting with national signing day. I don't think he was the right hire at this time in Tennessee's history as we needed a much bigger name to prove to recruits and college football in general that we are serious about football. I personally don't think this hire said that. This hire had "budget" and "settle" written all over it.

Hope you don't mind me saying this but here you go:

What is starting to bother me with your opinion is your seemingly blind following of this AD and his coach. I am starting to believe if he had hired Sandusky to lead the Vols you would have stepped in line. That is the appearance that you portray. :hi:

It's football. Gain perspective It's a fresh start so why not at least be optamistic and enjoy life.

I certainly have concerns about jones as well. I do not blindly approve of the hire even though I am cautiously optimist. My biggest concern right now is the spread and how IMO it doesn't win big without an exceptional qb that doesn't come around but once every 25 years or so. I want to win big more than once every 25 years but I am not going to make it a daily routine to argue that point like this one seems to be argued by yourself. Concerns are plenty legitiment to discussed but when it becomes a seemingly daily crusade it becomes an agenda IMO.

Fair enough Bruin. But keep in mind I am not starting new crap to forward an agenda. I am merely responding to other posters that are quoting my post. I wouldn't expect you or anyone else to not respond when their post is quoted and called into question. Look at all my post in this thread they are in response to a quoted post. With the exception of the first one of course.

I see that and I am just as guilty as anybody about refusing to stop responding so I get it. Just hoping now is the time to move on

while this hire may have budget and settle written all over it that is hardly the coaches fault and doesn't require people to constantly complain about them on these forums. If you want to complain about something complain about the fact that Cheeks has looted the football program for his frivolous and unnecessary academic programs. That's why we only have 1.9 million in reserve and why we cant afford to spend 5 million a year on a HC.

CBJ is our coach and all the whining in the world wont change that, so what Bruin is trying to say is how about supporting the coaches we have and give them a chance before crying about them.

Please take a look at my response to Bruin above and if you think I've not been doing my fair share expressing my displeasure with the chancellor, you need to check out the various threads on the matter.

I'm getting a little ticked about all this constant CBJ & Staff bashing. He's got bashed since he was picked to be HC along with every member of the staff. Yet it's only been one week and not the first recruit signed, the first workout, the first practice, the first game but we have a "LOOOOSER of a Staff" according to the experts here.

May I remind some of you skeptics that....

Larry Fedora was the OC at MTSU when he was hired as the OC at Florida

Charlie Strong was the WR coach at Southern Illinois when he was hired to be the OLB Coach at Florida

Urban Meyer was the DB coach at St Xavier H.S when he was hired to be the TE Coach at Ohio St

Names are one thing but results speak for themselves...

I wouldn't be surprised to see him hired after the rose bowl. In fact my respect for him would grow if he makes that part of the deal.

I was hoping to see if anybody agreed with me that the WR coaching hire will likely be made after the bowl games???

I have said I am not a big fan of Azzanni but if he is unwilling to leave his current team before the rose bowl I will increase my optimism about him as a coach.

I agree and I am not criticizing his staff. He just raised my expectations that this staff would wow you and it hasn't.
The staff hasn't been here long enough to make that splash. You act like its supposed to be an overnight thing. This may turn out to be one of the best in the country. I trust the experience of this staff.

You know the rule against self quoting. J/k

I think it's strange that he hasn't announced a wr coach. It may be that the choice is in a bowl and wants to coach in it. It seems to me it would be good to go ahead and announce it to get the recruits excited even though it may be January before they can meet him.

I think you're making my point there for me.

Well I missed that one. Not impressed with this hire. This one is my least favorite.

It has worked for Pinkel until he hit the SEC. Sure injuries were a big problem for Mizzou this year. Difference is he has the players in place.

Does CBJ have that with the talent UT has, and how long does it take to bring "that" type of players in? S&C coach had best be an improvement to say the least.

Not much bro, you.

Good hire

I think he can coach, but not much diversity on the staff. I wanted a bigger name for recruiting, but I think he can get the job done. You go to war with the army you have. Only time will tell...but I will root for my team regardless.

In the past 10 years, Azzanni has been called a “relentless” recruiter by Urban Meyer. He has most notably been a staple in the recruiting areas of the state of Florida, in particular the Miami/Fort Lauderdale areas.[3]

Urban must be smokin something cause check out his rivals recruiting profile. He signed 7 players his since 2004. Three 2* and four 3* commits. So

Your not very good at math are you? So far we have 3 coaches that were not at Cincinnati and CBJ tried to add a fourth (Tee). As I've said for three days now Azzanni has not been offered and will not be offered.

What an idiot! Now I know how Skeeter feels.
