Not just one call. Go back and look at the two that were called against UT then compare them to virtually every play Bama ran. Go look at the D holding call. Compare that to what Bama did on every play.No one disagrees this one wasn't missed. Overall we've seen a lot worse. There's always at least one absolutely terrible call per game.
I get that and I'm not saying we would have won, But if they Call it as it should have been called then it makes a very big difference in the Ballgame! I understand if Bama has no penalties but that's not happening in ANY game idc who it is! Games need to be Called evenly and if anyone thinks 15 vol penalties to 1 I said 1 Bama penalty then they are delusional!!We blame the damn refs every time we get beat. 2nd half Play calling was ****, effort was ****, execution was ****. Time for some ownership

I don't think I have seen much worse than this. Officiating "mistakes" usually "even up" at least over a season if not a game. A one sided game like this is extremely rare... but it is not out of line with what UT has dealt with from SEC officials all year.
There is no way these refs were going to make a call that was going to hurt bama’s chance to win in any way. A loss puts them out. Anything they saw that was a penalty against Tennessee they were going to call. Either they did this on purpose or they were intimidated. Not to say that Tennessee didn’t screw up, but all teams do in a game. About as lop sided as it gets. For as long as I've been alive, fans of the team that lost complain about officiating as a way of coping with the disappointment of the loss. And sure - usually the losing team didn't make some plays it could have made.
But I've never understood the argument that bad officiating can't affect the outcome of a game between two evenly-matched teams, and that if a team suffers from bad officiating, it deserves to lose unless it overcomes the bad officiating with a level of stellar play and consistency that is not required of the team that benefits from the bad officiating. It's kind of like saying "it sucks that your pocket was picked, but unless you chased the thief down and took back your wallet, you deserved to have your stuff stolen and the thief isn't responsible."
Bama came into the game ranked 97th in fewest penalties allowed and 126th in sacks allowed. Tennessee came into the game ranked 3rd in sacks. And yet, Bama never held in this game? Not once? We all saw what happened.
There is rarely a single cause for a team's win or loss - games are complex. But any insinuation that officiating as bad as we saw this afternoon is de minimis in affecting the outcome of the game is way off the mark.
Not a hold all game is total BS! 1 penalty for 5 yards. SMH! But we had a chance to dagger them and we kick field goals. Not tough enough and 3rd and short or 4th and short. Defense should have kept pressure up front in 2nd half but played too safe in 3rd quarter with the lead. We have to learn from letting this one get away because we did. We have to learn how to deliver a knockout blow when we have the opportunity. But live and learn and refocus. Let’s go Win Out! GBO!They held every play. Just not called. Of course
Billion dollar industry and we ain’t in the click! That's all you need to know to know the outcome of this game. Throw in a couple of well timed ticky-tack calls to stop UT from making a good play... and you can count on a multiple score margin.
Not sure who can do something about crap like this... but someone needs to.
