Zone @ Rupp

Since shot clocks usually tend to let a second go before changing from 35 to 34 instead of almost instantaneously showing 34 at 34.9, I'm going to assume that zero means zero instead of 0.9.

It was a shot clock violation. No excuses. Vanderbilt got hosed. You can point to Vanderbilt's funky set up all you want, but the refs got it wrong and Kentucky yet again benefited from awful officiating.

I have a feeling you didnt watch the game, because if you did, you would have seen the make up call with 6 seconds left. The inbounded ball was CLEARLY off a Vandy player, but they gave it to Vandy as a peace treaty. It was so obvious that the commentators didnt even comment, they just sat quietly.

That hardly would have evened things out, and I'm not so sure it was "CLEARLY off a Vandy player" either.

If you asked me last week if we had a chance at Rupp, I'd have answered with a resounding NO.
After watching them against Vandy and Texas A&M and our guys against Alabama, I give us a chance.
Kentucky still shows no signs of developing any kind of chemistry. Cal has plenty of talent, but has finally found that class that just doesn't sync.
Kentucky struggles even at home against strong defensive teams and their defense is no where near the teams of recent history.
Though I've pushed for a faster paced game, I've finally realized that we just don't have the ball handlers to play the up tempo.
Make them play our tempo and play smothering defense.
Keys:
Golden must return to form. His slump, whatever the cause since the W Carolina game, must end. He must score 10+.
McRae. has found his offensive game and must continue to bring it on the road. Score 20+.
Richie must return to form as our best perimeter defender. Continue to attack the glass. Score 10+
Noel will dominate Stokes as he did in high school, but our little known Reese dominated Poythress in every game he played against him.
Match them on the boards.
Take care of the pumpkin and this will be a very close game.
And forget playing Zone.

I would give us a chance if we had played better the last 2 games, but I still think we lose by double digits. It sucks that we aren't very good because UK is prime for a rare sweep.

Sadly I think it's more likely we are exactly what UK needs right now.

We may not matchup horribly with guards which is shocking considering its UK. Golden surely will guard mays, their athletic capability is about a mirror image. Richardson will probably draw Goodwin I would guess for the majority of the game.

I think it's going to be closer than most people are thinking.
