Vandy sucks and we suck, but who will suck the most on Saturday will be what matters. We have 2 better SEC wins in my opinion. They beat Ole Miss and Arkansas and we beat Auburn and Kentucky. Therefore, I'm hopeful that we can pull this off, but it is a pickem game. We beat those 2 teams because they were 1 dimensional on offense. Kentucky could run, but not pass and Auburn could pass, but not run. Vandy can do both and that scares me.

Per Coach CJP Monday press conference, we have been pacing ourselves by taking off every other game.

Due to lack of depth, we have only tried to win the even number games.

Literal much?? You should feel horrible about what Hamilton and Lane did to this program and feel great about possibly going 6-6 in year one with recruits on the way. It will take a couple of more years. Next year they win 8 or 9 and it rolls from there.

Looked like a lot of guys quit against MO. Some of those same guys will play against VU because there isn't anyone else. Two big questions. First, does the malaise carry over? Second, assuming the malaise doesn't carry over, how much adversity will it take to bring it back? I think we have to front run this one and keep a wire to wire lead if we want to win. Don't defer if we win the KO and play aggressive offense the whole way.

All of you moaners - take a look at the Saragrin ratings and it is pretty clear we were lucky to punch above our wieght with Auburn and KY/. We should do better against Vandy.

Vanderbilt Stadium is worth roughly 2.5 points for an out of conference game, for in conference games they are worth about 1 - 1.5 points. I gamble way too much and have a breakdown of the entire conference through one specific model and it's pretty spot on.

Also, for just pure numbers purposes, you can see below from the Sonny Moore vegas power number rankings, we're only about a point off of Vanderbilt here. For those interested check their site COLLEGE FOOTBALL POWER RATINGS & RANKINGS . It's kind of screwy but believe it or not their numbers are always pretty true.
