Boosters Split Down the Haslam Line.

I have a stupid (and mostly self-inflicted) publication schedule this year. But thanks for remembering me. The connections between Jubran and the Haslam family are disturbingly deep-seated. Raja's last name might as well be Haslam because he's definitely the mouthpiece of the Haslam...

    Recruiting Forum Football Talk LVII

The odds are extremely good, unfortunately. The bill passed through the Senate committee hearing 8-0 for vote tomorrow on the Senate floor. Still has to go through the house. Fact of the matter is this legislature isn't going to stand up to the Governor, who wants to be the next President of...

    Interesting "Fictional" Account of Search

Yes it is. This story would have been written and published in local media if anyone had been willing to corroborate it on the record. Or it would have been, if it wasn't "fiction."

Gary Parrish on Butch's "Champions of life"

LOL--if you're determined to be negative, then nothing I write can help you to begin with. NegaVoldom is an insidious disease...and there is no cure. When the Vols were undefeated having beaten Florida and Georgia, people were already shouting for DeBord to be fired and to bench Dobbs. But...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

It just hit me. GameDay is giving Art Briles a platform tomorrow and not AJ Cucksey and Josh Dobbs. Because, you know, a disgraced coach and his faux "apologies" are so much more important.

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

I think the way to make sure your signs don't get censored--because that's what we're talking about--is to leave off anything they can complain about. Signs that read "f*** you GameDay!" won't get through. keeping the signs positive should be fine--no twitter handles. Hashtags should be fine...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

I saw the love you sprinkled on AJ's campaign. God bless you for that. One six-year-old is going to be a very happy fella in the morning.

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

One of the reasons people are so outraged is because AJ Cucksey at SIX is more concerned about helping others. So AJ and his parents decided to crowdsource a fundraising campaign for ETCH. Artist Jeff Page designed a t-shirt for them, and it's now available. 100% of the money goes to ETCH...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

And now, ESPN is deleting Vols comments about the AJ story from its social media. Which, considering the fact that Vol Nation has shredded their FB page, is apparently their idea of an appropriate response. https://twitter.com/LeaAlley83/status/773943589160165376

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

College Gameday PR reps didn't say anything about what the FSU story was about. I can't make an assumption in any story without verification from the source. Unless ESPN has announced that's what the FSU story is about--which they did not in their statement--then I can't assume that's what the...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

My husband says the same thing. He's an Ohio State fan, and I try not to hold that against him. (He loves the Vols and Neyland--makes the Buckeye thing bearable) ESPN started to tank when Disney took over. And while there are some personalities at ESPN that I absolutely respect (and know) for...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

What really impressed me yesterday was the Finebaum show giving this story a platform. Obviously tried my darnedest to NOT insult ESPN (was difficult) and keep the focus on the important part of the message. But Finebaum was gracious about it, gave me the opportunity to speak, and no one asked...

Clay Travis's producer contacted us last night and is going to run with the story today at some point.

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

As a writer I choose my words carefully, but there is absolutely no difference between 'biggest' and 'largest' whatsoever. And if ESPN were to run both stories, no one--especially me--would have minded. You seem to think there's some blame to attribute to me for writing a story about ESPN...

College Gameday ditches AJ/Dobbs cancer story for FSU piece

Actually, Hokie Nation started to jump onboard yesterday, as well as members of the Bama, Georgia, Florida (yes I was shocked too) and FSU along with other SEC teams.
