Coleman Thomas Arrested - charges dropped 4/15

Well...the whole inccident cost him most of spring practice. That's significant!

I don't know if it's significant, maybe, but definitely not good! Hopefully he did all the things he could do on his own when he wasn't allowed to participate with team activities.

But was he truly proven "innocent"? He did sell stolen goods

Based upon the mantra of "innocent until proven guilty" along with the fact that there will no longer be a legal litmus test to pass, his innocence is maintained. As a matter of fact, he's no more "innocent" of a crime he did not commit that you or I are of murder. We're not "innocent" because we've not been charged, nor are we "guilty".

Now, was he "ignorant" of the situation? It seems so.

Assuming he's back at practice tomorrow, he'll only have missed about half of the spring session (8 of 15 practices). He was in the first two, then missed eight, and now should be able to take part in the last five. Not nearly as good as not missing any, but not as bad as missing practically all of it, either.

Think he'll be fine, as long as he can mentally/emotionally put this behind him and regain focus.

Finally official
Theft charges against Tennessee football player Coleman Thomas dismissed | Local News | Times Free Press

"It appears that a rush to judgement was made charging Coleman Thomas with this offense. Mr. Thomas did not commit any crime, and was unaware that the XBox and three video games in question had been stolen. He fully cooperated from the first minute he was notified by law enforcement, and it was unfortunate that such a hasty decision to charge Mr. Thomas was made solely by the University of Tennessee Police Department." per his attorney.
