I was at that game at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium with my dad. It was on a Saturday. What a terrible venue that was for football.I checked a IU football forum (yeah, there is at least one).....one poster wants revenge for our 27-22 win in the 1988 Peach Bowl View attachment 243887
I know. Its like our fans forget we went 5-5 against Vandy this decade and 3-27 combined against Florida, Georgia, and Bama. Our fans still think we are the Tennessee of 1996 and give IU no respect. All posts like this do is encourage them to play better, harder and beat our tails. I’m tired of this lack of respect and arrogance I read in every post about them. A little humble pie may be good for many posters on VN.
We’re not “lucky”, the players and coaches earned this bowl berth with how the regrouped and rallied after a poor start to win 6 of their last 7 games. Took a lot of focus, effort and commitment to getting better. Nothing “lucky” about it.We're lucky to be in a bowl at all. We got a better bowl than any of us could have possibly hoped for. Just stfu and be thankful for goodness sake.

Yeah that’s not how bowls work. But anyway...beating up on Indiana will be a great way to cap this season. Why do we deserve a lot better than that? We are currently an unranked second tier SEC team. Why would a high ranking team want to play an unranked team in a bowl game? They have nothing to gain and everything to lose.
