'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

While I agree that less than stellar recruiting will eventually cool Mizzou's jets, when have they underperformed? They have won the East 2 years in a row.

While they finished 10-3 they barley escaped a weak eastern conference. Vandy had them beat for 3Qtrs.

All I'm saying is if they don't play to there potential like last season they'll lose 5-6 games.

For some reason, Missouri consistently finds a way to play to their potential, especially when they play Tennessee. People keep trying to shovel dirt on Missouri yet they just keep winning. Little doubt in my mind they'll seriously challenge to be the East representative in the SECCG again this year.

As far as Kentucky goes, I think they're likely 6th again in the East. They lost their lady 6 games last year....we could've hung 70 on em last year had we not called off the dogs in the 4th qtr.

Missouri has been so good because of their DL, especially last year. Their DL coach, who is one of the best in the business, got hired away to be a DC somewhere else. It wouldn't surprise me if they took a step back.

Craig Kuligowski has been at Mizzou since 2001 as DLine coach, and remains in that position today. He declined an offer to become co-DC at Illinois.

You are thinking of Dave Steckel, the former Mizzou DC, who took the HC job at Missouri St.

I talked so much mess about Missouri and have eaten crow big time. What they have done in their short time in this conference is unbelievable. Albeit the east was down, but hey you gotta show up and play. Props to Pinkel and company.

Ps-I hope they lose every game next year. Go Vols.

I hope they beat UGA and UF while losing to KY and SCar.

Not worried. Obviously the staff was still recruiting the position. Something made them do that either they liked another player better or were never sure that Kendall was solid. Either way I'm fine with it. I've never seen Jones give up and concede a player that he really wanted especially if they were committed. Since we've continued to pursue other QBs I would say the staff likes someone else better.

Good luck to Austin at Kentucky. I think it's great that he gets to play with his brother. Besides, he's going to need that family support after we undoubtedly whip dat azz

I got 7 with the revenge on Floriduh!

I wish. We'll be lucky to start better than 2-5 with the schedule. We do get Mizzou and UF at home, but I don't feel good about them.

Standard decommitted player thread:

He sucked anyway
Good luck at ________ loser
Hey lets talk about something else

Easy solution is to ignore thread. I follow UT recruits, not Kentucky recruits. Aaaaand done.

I think there's actually a decent argument that the staff eventually saw something they may have overrated. Evidently, as people have claimed, there are a few QBs that seem to be considered more important than Kendall.

You're far more objective of a UK fan than my old lady. She's the biggest UK homer I know...and I live in Kentucky.

Auburn is the team to watch here. People are riding the "his brother is at UK" thing, but the reality is that Auburn is the offer he wanted (and received). Auburn's coaches have been recruiting him longer than anyone, had he received an offer months ago he never would have committed to Tennessee.

It is looking more and more like CBJ moved on rather than Kendall wanting to go elsewhere. I think Dobbs impact on the effectiveness of the offense may have had more to do with the staff looking elsewhere than anything else. There are other QBs who fit the needs rather than Kendall. Just my thoughts. I have been and still am a big fan of Kendall, but he might not be the best fit, especially given that we will only take 1 QB in this class.
