Poland.

My daughter of 14 years now talks all the time about moving to Poland. Wants us to pull up stakes and move the entire family there. She also says she isn't ever gonna have kids because this country is already a cesspool and she thinks it is only gonna get worse. Wouldn't be fair to her kid to have one here in the US.

Several of yall already know this...but we are a very patriotic military family. My Dad and Pappaw both served 26 years each, my little brother was in the Army 5 years before he took his own life sadly at 25 years old. I was in JROTC , so were my brothers. We love this country very much. At least what it used to be. I am glad that my grandparents both died in the last 5 years, before they had to see what a sheithole this country is rapidly becoming. I could list all the garbage aspects....but there are already threads about them here in the PF.

Here's my problem: I cannot honestly win the argument that people in this festering liberal sheithole are better off than people in Poland. Nor that somehow the US would be a better place to raise her eventual kids than Poland. My main worry at this point in my life is what my childrens lives will be like after i am gone...when i am no longer here to help or protect them.

How much do yall know about Poland? From all I read in the news, Poland is now like the US would be if there were ONLY conservatives. No liberal politicians with any power whatsoever. Know how many terrorist attacks Poland has had? Zero. Compare that to France right around the corner who has them all the time. Know how many illegal immigrants Poland has? None. They do not allow the wave of Muslim rapists that are overwhelming the EU to enter their country, either. Know how they feel about all this delusional trans bullcrap and making up new sexes and pronouns? They dont allow that social disease to fester in their country like we do. Should I go on? Poland elected their own version of Trump and he got things done. They take pride in their country and seemingly have much higher standards than the garbage that is modern day culture here.

I never, ever thought this would happen. My family, both extended and immediate, has always been very patriotic and proud to be Americans. We still are now. So how then, with any intellectual honesty can i look my daughter in the eyes and tell her that HER eventual family will be better off raised here than there? Know how many school shootings there are in Poland? Bet you guessed right. What compelling argument could i make to her? The past is great...but it doesnt really matter in this situation. What matters is the future. Can anyone here with good sense convince me that i would be able to raise a safer, wiser, better Christian family in this country than in Poland,? Maybe do some google research about Poland if yall are not familiar with their society. All countries have their problems. I am sure you can buy more crap you dont need here than there...more material things in general here. Probably higher wages here too. Those things dont actually matter to us though. Quality of life, safety, old fashioned values and worshipping God is what really matters to us. Family values.

Which country is a better place to raise a family in your opinion? Why? I appreciate your input guys

Had similar thoughts, not about Poland, but where could we move? I’ve come up empty.

Mostly because I don’t think it matters. When the US falls this world is going to see a period of darkness that touches every part of the planet, thanks to advances in technology.

It does seem good, problem is getting assimilated in that country. My wife's friend adopted to girls from Poland. They had to stay for about 3 weeks in Poland. The husband was harassed when other men saw he was an American so he had to stay close to their escort or close to home.
Many people are going to south America to live And they seem to enjoy it. I believe many countries are encouraging Americans to move abroad

I do get your point, America has become a moral cesspool since homosexual "marriage" became "legal". My dad, my brother, cousin and 2 uncles served as I did. But I would never want my kids to join the military now.

There had been a full court press against our kids from the education system, the fed (and state) gov and social media. We continue on a downward slope at breakneck speed.

Would she really want to live in a country with only American conservatives (similar goes for American liberals today BTW} knowing how they've historically treated the 'others'? She may one day want to form her own thoughts in a freer society.
Poland's a lot more homogeneous (lily white, 85% Catholic) than the US so I don't know about the accuracy of the comparison.
If she's determined to scoot once she's an adult, there are a lot of good countries out there in which one can worship pretty much as they please. There's a ton of information on the web. Getting residence and supporting oneself overseas are potential hurdles.
Good luck to her.

Catholic? I assumed they were all Eastern Orthodox (similar to Catholic but not the same).

My best friend is Polish. Not as in he took an ancestry dna test and found out he’s polish, but as in his grandfather was in a gulag, he speaks multiple languages, and his family occasionally still visits Poland. Seems like a decent place but likely lacking economic opportunity
