Convince anyone old enough to read or even understand the news on TV that this country isnt an absolute festering sheithole compared to what it was even circa 1998 when we won the Chip. Wanna contrast and compare? Ready for your argument ...how this country is better off in ANY measurable way versus the dozens and dozens of ways that it is worse. So does the downward trajectory of this country seem to be speeding up or slowing down? Lets start there. Then tell me how great this country will be in 20 years and what POSSIBLE rational reason you have to believe that anything whatsoever is gonna get better instead of worse.

Or just be a smartazz and i will ignore you like I usually do. Whatever floats your boat. But remember...you came into 1 of the maybe half dozen threads i have ever started on VN in a decade, and instead of just leaving it alone, or actually responding to my post...decided to insult me twice.

So how bout you just go be a smartazz and insult people somewhere else? Everyone else seems to be doing just fine here. Unless you see something that needs to be "moderated ".

Nor that somehow the US would be a better place to raise her eventual kids than Poland. My main worry at this point in my life is what my childrens lives will be like after i am gone...when i am no longer here to help or protect them.

How much do yall know about Poland? From all I read in the news, Poland is now like the US would be if there were ONLY conservatives. No liberal politicians with any power whatsoever. Know how many terrorist attacks Poland has had? Zero. Compare that to France right around the corner who has them all the time. Know how many illegal immigrants Poland has? None. They do not allow the wave of Muslim rapists that are overwhelming the EU to enter their country, either. Know how they feel about all this delusional trans bullcrap and making up new sexes and pronouns? They dont allow that social disease to fester in their country like we do. Should I go on? Poland elected their own version of Trump and he got things done. They take pride in their country and seemingly have much higher standards than the garbage that is modern day culture here.

I never, ever thought this would happen. My family, both extended and immediate, has always been very patriotic and proud to be Americans. We still are now. So how then, with any intellectual honesty can i look my daughter in the eyes and tell her that HER eventual family will be better off raised here than there? Know how many school shootings there are in Poland? Bet you guessed right. What compelling argument could i make to her? The past is great...but it doesnt really matter in this situation. What matters is the future. Can anyone here with good sense convince me that i would be able to raise a safer, wiser, better Christian family in this country than in Poland,? Maybe do some google research about Poland if yall are not familiar with their society. All countries have their problems. I am sure you can buy more crap you dont need here than there...more material things in general here. Probably higher wages here too. Those things dont actually matter to us though. Quality of life, safety, old fashioned values and worshipping God is what really matters to us. Family values.

Poland is mostly Catholic.
Not sure if that is mostly for show and weddings though.

My response was fitting given the amount of understanding you appear to have about those sane folks in Poland. Frankly, just reading their views on free speech would immediately cross it off the list. Are either of you familiar with those laws? Have your views on the US but let's not pretend Poland is the goal for anyone wanting freedom

Regardless of whether I agree with your sentiments or the opinions that you espouse, I have at least a modicum of respect for each poster here...as we are all VOLS, after all.

For the first time in my life, I’m actually considering life outside the USA. The only thing I despise more than Trumpers are dipshit progressive, Marxist, liberals. Funny that the more Central and South Americans that move here, the more appealing living in those counties becomes.

even the part where there is no sun for months at time? Like seriously, no sun.

I don't have seasonal depression issues, and I never understood it; until I spent two weeks in the pacific northwest, and saw the sun once. And not because it was storming. no, they just don't get the sun. After that, I get how/why people get seasonal depression.

Has she listed any reasons why Poland is better than the US? Have you? It's just a curious assertion when all signs point to a society with much less tolerance and freedom.

Iceland calls itself a conservative country. I spent a week there, and the folks I talked to said they are "conservative for Europe" but left of the US.
Reykavik has mild winters for being almost on the Artic Circle. Almost everything has to be shipped in so most things are expensive. Plenty of cheap fuel though. Steam coming out of the ground everywhere.

For Nature Iceland is probably the most interesting country I have visited. Something about those volcanos.

Lanzarote( a Canary Island) is the most unique place. The moon.
