Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Marion Co in the title game gives me flashbacks of the 90s teams they had. They were pretty, pretty good.

They're good this year, as solid a team as they have had since the 90's.

Except Ward told us in Tuesday that the teams not playing, aren't moving. The only thing that could change would depend on winners/losers this weekend.

But if you're not playing you're not jumping someone ahead of you, or falling behind someone currently ahead.

Ranking may change. Order won't.
It's too much double speak, they'll do whatever they want. I took his comments to mean that only schools playing this week would be moved. So to your point Tennessee would finish no worse than the 9th seed.

However, if PSU gets waxed on Saturday night, or the SEC championship is one sided, it would still allow the committee to move other teams below Tennessee, thus allowing us to move up by default, eventhough we didn't play, and into a host position.

Yeah, I take him at his word. His answering questions has a whole I'm not going to pardon my son kinda vibe.

Just realized Sunseri works at Indiana.

I really hope we play them and beat them in to the ground.
That’s his son, Tino and he’s on the offensive side of the ball.

The Sunseri family should be banned from coaching on the defensive side of the ball after the atrocious year he coached here.

Agreed. We're just not moving ahead of OSU, ND etc... It would take an epic fall from one or both losers for that to happen... Possible, yes. Probable, I don't think so.

😂
Oh I agree. They keep painting themselves in to these corners with these statements. So while I'll post what I've posted... Based on those statements they made....Would it surprise me if they do something completely contrary? Hell no.

You shouldn't be upset at Sunseri, you should be pissed off at that Hall of Fame HC Derek Dooley, Dooley is the idiot who hired Sunseri to be DC ..
The rumor is he wanted Kevin Steele and that was right after Steele froze in a bowl games for Clemson and had 100 or whatever hung on him. He was denied. So we ended up with Sunseri and switched schemes. Dooley's true undoing was rubbing literally everyone the wrong way. Hs coaches, admin, everyone.

I heard a crazy tidbit on Basilio yesterday morning. It’s year four and Glen Elarbee doesn’t have a single player he recruited on the high school level that starts on the OL.

Well hopefully next year breaks the trend.

We should at least see 1 next year finally.
