Think about it from Oregon's perspective... You're the 1 seed... And your second round game is against OSU or Tennessee...

That's a tough draw for the team that's supposed to have the seeding advantage.

Whereas, ND gets Boise as the 5 seed... After playing a team outside the top ten in the first round.

That bye isn't enough if you're the one seed... Hell assuming TX is the 2, they gotta play UGA 3 times?

This format is stoooooooopid.

This is why I'm not putting any stock into rankings until Sunday. I view the in process rankings as just setting the field of 12. They're going to do whatever they want in regards to TV matchups, etc. We won't really know until it's finally set.

Uh yeah, unfortunately my hometown Portland Panthers played them and Eric Westmoreland in the championship game. Twas not close. We got hammered.

It's not exactly brand new information though it's it? ... And it doesn't necessarily excuse LSU or any other program from some accountability or self examination about their total package, as it relates to total value offering, not just NIL.

It also doesn't mean that he doesn't have a point either. Whoever is responsible for valuations at a program has to be on point, and you do have to have a threshold for pain that you won't cross if a bidding war ensues.

It also guess to your player profiles. Fit matters, and you have walk the line to maintain your culture, while also improving the talent profile.

It's not easy...

Except Ward told us in Tuesday that the teams not playing, aren't moving. The only thing that could change would depend on winners/losers this weekend.

But if you're not playing you're not jumping someone ahead of you, or falling behind someone currently ahead.

Ranking may change. Order won't.
