I was mostly joking but he did average 15 (total) shots a game last season in addition to his 6 assists. “Surround him with shooters” is an idea but I think he’s generally his first option. Nothing wrong with that and I’m sure it would come down on a better team but ZZ averaged 10 attempts per game this season for comparisonon 1 attempt per game over 3 seasons. Shot 2 per game this year
You need to add in the 3 freshmen we have signed.Maybe we could get Gillespie and move him to the 2 @TrippieRedd
PG- Jackson
SG-Gillespie
SF- Elyjiah Freeman
PF- Foulgerais
C- Okpara
Bench
- Atwell (transfer from UNCG) replaces Gainey
- Phillips
- Estrella
- another transfer guard
- Boswell or he leaves and we keep a 9 man rotation
Pushing 300 pounds is an exaggeration. Multiple sources have him between 250-265.your right but it feels like Brown and Henderson will be redshirted. Evans could make the rotation. Henderson ain't ready, and Brown needs to lose a ton of weight he is pushing 300 pounds
Good lord, no he isn't. You'd be terrible guessing people's weight at the fair. Go watch his semifinal game against Phenix Central. He had 27 pts, 15 rebs, 4 assts, and 3 blks, and played almost the entire game. Look at his body. He's, 270 lbs max, at 6'-9.your right but it feels like Brown and Henderson will be redshirted. Evans could make the rotation. Henderson ain't ready, and Brown needs to lose a ton of weight he is pushing 300 pounds
He wasn't a highly recruited kid out of Greenville. Same class as Freddie Dilione (who reclassed) and BJ Edwards. In hindsight, Tennessee missed the boat, but both guys were both ranked and recruited at higher levels. How did we miss out on Gillespie, not only from the start but after he transferred from Belmont? Crazy a Greenville kid went to the likes of a Maryland?
