Tennessee vs. Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen. Are you nervous?

if you can go back and look at ZZ after he missed the last shot at Auburn -- thats a kid that hates losing
Although games often come down to a final shot or free throw, I'm a pretty firm believer a game (for the most part) isn’t won or lost on one single play.
If Zeigler will make a deliberate effort to drive the ball against KY, we should win this game.
If he settles for the 3/dribbling around, we lose.
That goes for the team as a whole, IMO.

My opinion stands that I do think Kentucky wins. It’ll be close as have both games this season. Just think it’s a bad matchup for us with how aggressive we are with our help defense and the amount of quality shooters they have.

Hope I’m wrong. GBO!!! Beat Kensucky 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊

Twice in two separate gyms, no less. A third time in a third location won't be an anomaly. We'll just be forced to accept that something we do defensively doesn't work for what UK likes to do on offense.

I think that game tonight proved that the two games Kentucky beat us was because they just happened to shoot better in those two games against us than any other games all year. They barely beat us, too. Essentially they were fortunate to shoot so good and us shoot so bad.
I said many times this year Kentucky is not a very good team if they don't hit the 3 at a high clip.
Luckily for us, they didn't shoot out of their minds tonight, and we able to shoot well enough. When shooting was even somewhat even we handled them with ease.

A big credit to our defense for that win, but an even bigger credit to our offense, IMO.
Barnes in particular. He set the winning game plan of taking the ball to the basket no matter what, and his guys stuck to the plan.

I ain’t nervous one bit
Funny, me either.....I'm the exact opposite of nervous right now. lol

Actually, I'm not even nervous about Houston, either. It's an elite 8 game, so I know anything can happen, but I just feel good if we play our game, and play hard like tonight, we get the win.
Definitely not overly confident or anything, just feel good about the match-up.

I agree that they were fortunate to shoot as well as they did in the first two matchups, but I also believe we defended differently, too. We ran them off the 3-pt line all night long. Dominating the boards, especially on the offensive end, was especially helpful, which was something we didn't do in Lexington.

Gainey said in the post-game they didn’t change anything defensively for this game, but I’m not sure I believe him. We certainly looked to not be helping as much on defense. We focused on defending the perimeter and forcing tough 2’s. It worked to perfection. Credit to Barnes. We made adjustments across games. Pope didn’t seem to do much new.

Sure looked different to my eyes. Of course, winning makes things look different. UK didn't seem to get nearly as many open looks from 3, to me. We made them drive the ball or take tough 2s, a lot.
