Cuonzo releases Landry

Of course the difference is that Martin's "lie" is likely to have a positive impact on the team. Pearl's lie(s) screwed over everything and everyone related to UT basketball.

Cutting a guy he shouldn't have signed....yeah big positive

The positive is the team has improved (Thompson >Landry)....what negative impact do you see?

I assume you'll say recruiting; obviously we will have to wait a bit to see if there's any impact there, but I don't think there will be. If you'd like I can ask 2014 top 130 player Jordan Cornish what affect this has on his feeling about Martin and Tennessee....I can probably tell you what his answer will be though, NONE.

Hurting us with other recruits from that team(Lindsey).....it's just unethical all the way around....I have no problem with a kid coming on campus and not panning out but allowing a kid to sign then cut him free is not good practice.....Especially for a coach whose number one selling point is his integrity.

Martins dad was talking about coming to Tennessee? Wtf? I didn't think Martin even was raised by his father, what're you talking about?

Still having trouble comprehending I see. Landry's dad is who he is referring who said they had been told 22 weeks ago UT was still taking his son and nothing had changed

I edited this post above but I'll add it here too, I figured you were gonna say the negative was on receuiting. I'll ask 2014 top 130 recruit Jordan Cornish what impact this has on his feelings about Martin and UT.

If you average less than 3 points or 3 asst a game you have to know your chances of playing at the D1 level is slim. It's business, hope he finds the right college that will be a fit for him.

Sly we replaced him with a dude 1.6 1.5 didnt we.:)

If you call getting martin a positive impact then there is no hope for you.

He said Martin's dad, wasn't sure if I missed something.

A lot can change in 22 weeks here's the quote

On April 17, John Landry, Travon’s father, told the News Sentinel, “I talked to (Tennessee assistant) Tracy (Webster) and, as of two weeks ago, nothing had changed, other than that they had signed another point guard (Blackman High School’s Darius Thompson). I haven’t been told anything different than what we originally agreed on back at the early signing (period)

Hmmm do you happen to know what that "agreed upon" part was he's referring to? Maybe there was an agreement that if there was room he would come in, but that if Stokes returned he may be the odd man out?
